Notre Dame extended its third offer of the day to Watkinsville (Ga.) Oconee County three-star linebacker Jaleel Laguins on Sunday. Laguins, who named Georgia his leader earlier in the day, said that the offer came out of the blue.
"It's a big offer," Laguins told Blue & Gold Illustrated. "That's a school that's high on academics, which I like."
The 6-1, 210-pound Laguins is ranked by Rivals.com as the nation's No. 32 outside linebacker and the No. 45 prospect in Georgia. He named a top 12 earlier on Sunday, with the first six schools – Georgia, Texas, Auburn, Alabama, FSU and Florida – in order. The "other schools" were Nebraska, Missouri, Kentucky, Oklahoma, North Carolina, LSU and Mississippi State.
