Notre Dame has extended an offer to Pembroke Pine (Fla.) Flanagan four-star linebacker Devin Bush. Bush, who is the son of former Florida State safety Devin Bush, said he had been hearing from the Irish when Tony Alford was recruiting the South Florida area, but he wasn't expecting to land a bid from the program after Alford left to take a job Ohio State.
That changed on Tuesday.
"It's big," Bush said when asked about the offer. "Notre Dame had been recruiting me before, but now it's good to finally have the offer."
The 5-11, 221-pound Bush is ranked as the No. 156 overall prospect in the country. He also holds offer from Georgia, LSU, Wisconsin Michigan and Miami, but is considered a heavy lean to Florida State, given his father's ties to the school.
