Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Sera four-star safety CJ Pollard has been offered by Notre Dame. Pollard, who's father played at USC, was evaluated by Irish associate head coach Mike Denbrock during a seven-on-seven workout on Wednesday.
The 6-1, 190-pound defensive back told Blue & Gold Illustrated on Sunday, that he was hoping for an offer and thought one might be on the way.
"It's Notre Dame man. It's a great school with great DB's and they put a lot of guys in the league. They have a rich history and it's a powerhouse program … An offer from them would mean a visit for sure and consideration right away," Pollard said.
Pollard is ranked by Rivals.com as the No. 19 safety in the country.
