Notre Dame hasn't made formal contact with Oklahoma State three-star quarterback commit Nick Starkel yet, but we're hearing it's likely to happen. Starkel, who attends Argyle Liberty Christian School outside of Dallas, said on Wednesday, that he has interest in the Irish, and he's hoping to link up with Notre Dame offensive coordinator Mike Sanford in the coming days.
"He just started following me on Twitter, so we'll see," Starkel said. "I'm very interested in Notre Dame."
The 6-3, 185 quarterback Stakel will compete in the Elite 11 semifinals this weekend in Los Angeles. He was recently offered by Texas A&M and also holds bids from Yale, Tulane and Old Dominion.
