I think "excellent" is a stretch, but I agree that thos class has a chance to produce some really quality football players. It could be an impact player on the defensive line and at linebacker short of a deep and comete class, but if they finish well, who knows.

The guys that I really want, who I alsso think we have a shot with are...

Obviously ND isn't getting all of those guys, but I think we have a shot at 6 or 7 of them and would be awesome to get a surprise flip from Paschal, Amosa, Cage, etc, etc...

Might be only a class ranked 10-15, but could be the most complete class in a while at ND. Would fill all the holes with quality players and allow ND to be selective and go big game hunting next year with what will hopefully be a bounceback season.

The dividends will pay off for the class of 2018 not '17. That's just how recruiting works. Even Harbaugh didn't do much in recruiting for the 2015 class. He didn't have enough time to build relationships to get guys to flip their commitment that late in the game. His next class is when his recruiting work paid off by being creepy with sleepovers in Rockford, MI.

I actually like Martin and Armstrong better than Mac, but would be happy with any two of the three.

Armstrong is really interesting to me because he has a build that I really love in a receiver. He' 6'0, 200lbs and put together. Will play around 210lbs and will be strong. Tackle breaker type, with good speed and strong hands. Reminds me a lot of Justin Blackmon, is identically built at 6'0, 210lbs and had this composite ranking coming out of high school.

True, but Harbaugh came from the pros vs the Irish coaches are coming from other college programs. I like our chances in getting "some" number of solid players still this class.
