Yes, the Wolf pack have a good dline.

Yes, the QB puts yards up through the air.

Yes, the RB has also put up some nice numbers.

But! They have not seen a team as well balanced and explosive as this Norte Dame team.

They struggled and lost against an average SC team.

Most of all, ND will over power NC ST in the run game. Georgia has much better LBs. That is why Georgia held the ND run game. Plus, BW was playing his first real BIG game.

I look for ND to rush for over 300 yards.

BW will throw for over 200 and have zero interceptions.

Struggled against SC is a bit off considering they outgained SC 504-246. You can give them a hard time all you want for losing to SC but struggling against them was not the reason for the loss. The Irish better take this game seriously or they will have their second loss. Looking forward to taking in your hallowed stadium. Good luck. Go Pack.
 
I’m pretty sure both teams are taking this game seriously.

Trust me, no matter what our raving band of goofballs says on social media, our team is treating this like its a playoff game.
 
I'll just take a win. Let's not strut around beating our chests and predicting blowouts. We're just setting ourselves up for a big letdown. I hope the OP is right as much as anyone else, but I don't believe in putting games in the W column until they're played.

I guess I've just never liked the taste of crow.
 
Brian Kelly had this team so unbelievably prepared Saturday. We have to give him the vote of confidence he will not allow a let down. BK is a changed man. More fire injected into this team. No way we have a let down preparation wise.

One point win on a last second field goal works fine for me. Just win, then worry about Wake.

ND 30 NCState 15
ND 38 Wake Forest 11
ND 28 Miami 13
ND 44 Navy 12
ND 31 Stanford 19

That will make our points given up in games as 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 ,18, 19, & 20

Watch a lot of CFB. No expert like some maybe. NCST looks to be the second best team we will play this year behind UGA.

At ND we don't go by yards gained, we go by points scored. Your 504 means nothing. Your 28 to their 35 is all that matters.

I realize that's all that matters but that wasn't what I was referencing. All I said was that the Wolfpack did not "struggle" in that game like OP suggested. Certainly citing yards gained is fair game in that regard. But I'm not here to argue. Good luck.

Why are we wishing the opponent good luck? I want the opponent to fall flat on their face Saturday. ND is going to win this game Saturday the way they have won all their games this season: In a BEAT DOWN!

It is a playoff game. They all are going forward. This is just the next round. Beat NC St and move forward. Lose and well I don't want to think about it. Just win.
 
While some people seem to be shaking in their boots over NC State, understand this, ND has pounded 6 teams this year, including 2 ranked teams. NC State has 1 win over a team with a winning record. They haven't seen ANYTHING like what ND is going to have for them on Saturday.
 
Wolfpack is one word at NC State....carry on. I'm sure some of the same prognostications were held early last year. Go ahead and pump your port-a-john air into our locker room, we all know it doesn't stink.

While some people seem to be shaking in their boots over NC State, understand this, ND has pounded 6 teams this year, including 2 ranked teams. NC State has 1 win over a team with a winning record. They haven't seen ANYTHING like what ND is going to have for them on Saturday.

Marshall is 6-1
Furman is 5-3
L' Ville is 5-3
Cuse is 4-4 with a win over Clemson

Really Furman, come on man they are not an FBS team. At least when you are trying to make a point take them out of the equation

I am glad you guys can tout Temple and Miami OH, which have 6 combined wins, but NC State can't say Furman. I understand they are FCS, but still.

ND also beat one of the worst power 5 teams out there in UNC as well.

But none of that matters. These are two talented teams that have played similar schedules (according to sagarin ratings) that will need to play well to beat the other team. If ND brings their A game, I don't think NC State can match up, even with their A game. If ND brings anything less than that, and NCSU plays well, nothing would surprise me.

They are FBS teams! the Irish do not play schools like Furman. Even if they are good as you imply. I coached a kid whose dad played TE at Furman. His son played LaCrosse at ND. They do have a good FB program but you cannot make an argument about SOS with those teams. They do not play a schedule of FBS schools
 
FYI last 2 seasons NCST came off the bye week and beat Wake 35-to something. The D coordinator was ELKO. I hope he hears me

The other problem with schools like furman they do not play FBS schedule so even though temple is not as good as last years temple team they still plays an FBS grind in the AAC. Furman plays one or two FBS teams for the check and resorts to their normal schedule. There is a difference on how that effects a team. Also Furman may be able to beat a team like temple on a given day. if they had to play in the aac they would only win a couple of games at best.

You guys play Navy every year, and your record against them is 76-13-1. You can call those games "tradition" all you want. But the reality is the only tradition is a Notre Dame free victory, generally speaking. I get your point about Furman, but don't act like Notre Dame is immune to cupcake games because they don't play FCS teams.

Yes, I agree no one wants to play12 games where all the teams are on NCST level or Notre Dame's level. However, Navy is a team that generally no one wants to play. They are not a bad team. That option is hard to defend. Teams tend to get injured after playing them, Ask Ohio State

ND plays usually a top ten (using sarigan) SOS yest in and year out. You can fault ND for a lit of things but not weak schedules. Also Navy has been pretty much a top 25 team for the last five years at least. Also Navy is more than tradition. If Navy didn't send cadets to ND during the war there would be no ND.
