ND is #4 in the 2nd Week of the Playoff Rankings

I don't know that Baylor would jump ND at this point. They would have one win over a top 25 team. ND has two. I don't think it will matter. Oklahoma is going to beat Baylor.

Nope Win out and they stay in top 4.
Not likely.

ND, at #4, beats hapless Wake Forest while Baylor, at #6, beats #12 Oklahoma.
If that happens - Baylor moves to #4 in the playoff rankings.

And that's alright. There will be some shuffling around in the rankings between
now and the end of the season. Our chance to jump back up comes after we beat
Stanford.

The players and coaches actually CANNOT let themselves be distracted by all this.
They need to stay focused on the "one game at a time" mantra, and win the rest
of their games. Make it as hard as possible for the committee to leave you left out
at the end.

Who knows what is going to happen? Crazy stuff happens in November. Based on recent history, it is highly unlikely that 3 teams finish undefeated.

IF OkSt or Baylor win out, along with ND it will be very interesting to see what the committee does. They clearly value ND much higher than the undefeated B12 teams even with 1-loss. ND could have 4 Top 25 wins (Temple, Navy, Stanford,USC) and 1 loss against the #1. Does that resume look better than wins over TCU, OU, Baylor? Highly doubt both ND and a B12 win out.

I think the statement they value a 1 loss ND team much higher is a reach. All of their tough games are at the end of the season. They will each have 2-3 signature wins ahead of them and ND has the potential of Stanford.
