ND - bc game thread ...

Maybe just maybe ND really isn't that good. This game should have been over at halftime. As it stands no game is ever easy for Kelly coached teams

Another Saturday night wasted watching this garbage. Its sort of like watching a car accident that lasts 60 minutes.

I'm sorry, but its hard to defend the play calling. I've never been critical of the coaching staff, but its pretty evident at times that play calling is not ND's strong suit.

Its also getting very old watching these teams struggle against inferior teams. I have never in the life of me seen a program that constantly plays down to its competition. I really believe we need to hope the playoff committee leaves ND off the top 4. They will get hammered and embarrassed in the playoffs.

I'm starting to think there's something on our green jerseys that always makes them slippery.

While ND is not losing the November games like last year, they are still in a November swoon. The are sloppy, and no one can argue ND is getting stronger as the season goes on. God only knows what kind of ND team will show up at Stanford, assuming they can hang on and win this game.

Now I know all you young guys will flame me; but here goes: The uniforms are cute, but just put on the whites or blues with the Gold helmets and play football. Plus, the Shamrock series or whatever gimmick is just garbage. Why give away a true home game? If ND can't get great players go there with to play ND football, then hang it up. I can't stand all the fancy rubbish.

How the hell do you point to play calling from watching this? After Reading this menopausal bitch fest, I'm certain no one here has sniffed a playing field. You all need to grow a pair and enjoy a football game. If this is what you do during football games, then need to reevaluate.. Go back to the drawing board fellas, cause this is sad.

How many drops does Fuller have? Very unlike him.

Is it the green units and all the green in Fenway that makes it hard for them to see?

Seconded. These greenies are the worst so far.

Well I hope ND wins. But I also hope they drop 3 or 4 spots. That would end all playoff talk and maybe get into a bowl with a decent team.

I have said this all freaking year and people on this board get pissed and say I am flaming the board. If we were playing any decent team tonight we would have gotten smacked by 30. Of course so many on here want to keep blaming the coaches which shows ignorance and a lack of football knowledge. Kellly can't catch, throw, or hold onto the ball!

the team is really beat up right now

They are always beat up. Or ___________ or_____________ Or_____________. Fill in the blank with the excuse of the week. BC is utterly horrible and I am sitting here sweating out an on side kick.

The team is beat up. I think Prosise is probably done for the year and it looks like Russell hurt his knee badly.

The team has played above itself all year, so I'm not that surprised by our performance since USC.

Some people think Brian Kelly is Leahy reincarnated; I'm not among them. His teams have lacked fundamental skills the entire six years he has been here. We put up some gaudy numbers on offense, but we are not a tough, hard nosed team.

We should drop out of the the top four this week, and Stanford will hammer us next week.

I was one that believed if we won out we were in....not anymore. This team is not a top 4 team. Clemson handled BC. Bama would put 40 easily on BC. O$U might struggle but they would win by 14 or more. Baylor or Ok St would put 50 on BC by the 3rd qtr. Iowa would win by 21 plus.

Notre Dame will lose and lose big at Stanford. My gut tells me Kelly decides to leave at the end of the season. He looks beat. I think it's time for him to move on and for ND to head into another direction.

Sadly, I have to agree that this team lacks the things that Kelly's teams have mostly lacked: a run game in the red zone and toughness. I have no idea why Brian Kelly refuses to develop a hard nosed, dominate type run game inside the 10.

As for this game, having that dominate run game would have saved two picks in the redzone. The Freshman qb played like a freshman tonight, and the defense looked poor at the end of the game.

I won't be surprised if ND is 5th in the rankings behind Clemson, Alabama, Iowa and Oklahoma. The only thing that might save them is that they beat Texas and Texas beat OU. Then again, it may not matter. If the effort next Saturday resembles the one tonight, ND will get hammered.

But what the critics are saying is well coached teams don't routinely make such errors. It's like everyone acting like we should have beaten Clemson. News alert: they pounded the snot out of us for three quarters, played conservative and let us back in--good teams don't drop passes or let defenses strip the ball.

Kizer was pass for over 300 yards! Kizer should be pass over 400 yards! ND won! 10 - 1! But ND will not climb one spot after OSU lost to MSU for playoff.
