Destinee Walker from UNC? Used to be a 5 star who has had some injuries? Anyone with knowledge verify this? Not my style to follow women's hoops recruiting but I had some time on my hands .
Maybe the word big doesn't refer to height but possibly big time? Just a thought...description
Yes, Walker is transferring in. She was a high school McDonal’s All American guard who played a lot her freshman and sophomore years, but missed year three with a major knee injury and was limited to four games in November last season due to a hip injury. If healthy, she will give us much needed experience in the backcourt. We still really need to add an impact big!Destinee Walker from UNC? Used to be a 5 star who has had some injuries? Not sure, but I think she has two years of eligibility left given her medical issues. For a year. She's a grad transfer. I would assume that she's going to be the guiding veteran presence for all of the guards that Jackie Young would have been.

I stand corrected. She does have 2 years available.Has two years to play from everything I've heard.
Could be a nice addition if she comes back off the knee well. Fits the academic profile ND is looking for and scored 13 ppg as a Soph. Would like to see McGraw find a big with some experience to pair with Vaughn. Preferably someone in the 6'4-6'5 range (as if that's easy lol).

6'4-6'5 isn't impossible. Sidney Cooks from Michigan State(6'4) is in the portal and is looking for a more uptempo offense. ND does fit the bill.

Yeah, no worries. I didn't realize it was 2 years at first either. That's nice because I think 2019-2020 will be a rebuilding year, but by 2020-2021, when Sam and Anya are sophomores, if McGraw can get a strategic transfer from a big to support Vaughn, ND will be in good shape again.
It's really a shame that we have problems recruiting this past year especially when we won a national championship last year, made it to the finals and lost by one point, and had five of our players drafted in the first three rounds. What do you have to do to recruit? A rhetorical question of course
6-5 center Marshall from NY just visited this past weekend and our irish have a really good shot here as it is down to us and Stanford. she is a top 15 overall rated player and making a decision within the next month or twoAnother guard? Jordan Nixon , Katlyn Gilbert, Amy Prohaska , , 2019 guard recruit Anaya Peoples , plus early committ for 2020 A. Campbell .
Then there is mention of Tennessee transfer ,Evina Westbrook, who was the #2 ranked recruit in 2017, plus a top #5 recruit C. Clark who Mc Graw is actively recruiting . Don't think we have a chance with Westbrook, but it was mentioned on other Irish websites that there might have been some interest?
That is anywhere from 5-7 guards . Some of these guards will be sitting the bench with little playing time I know we had a a 3 guard offense ,but there was a super player in Jackie Young at the 3spot . Don't know if any of these guards can fill that position.
Still doesn't address the need for taller players that can help in the paint . Sidney Cooks ,6'4" possible transfer from Michigan State?
