Any word out of ND on a Head coaching candidate for the men’s team, or an early list? How about a top five list as of now. Go Irish

Lots of Holtmann noise in my part of the world. Kelso, hear anything ?
I have not heard anything -- other than the OSU faithful want him out of here. Have heard a few people mention it, but not sure if there are legs to it -- yet. Plus, he has a heck of a class coming in next fall (#3-4 right now I believe).

There is this, though --

He, like Brey, is having a rough year. OSU cannot buy a win even if it were on sale.

Jack will likely snag a mid major assistant no one has ever heard of.
That’s completely false, proof that you’re clueless.

On Thursday Jack indicated that they were focusing on high profile candidates

Every time you comment on Notre Dame you detract from the total sum of human knowledge concerning Notre Dame !

I’m a Xavier alum and Chris Mack was in my class. He did a great job at Xavier before moving on to the train wreck which is Louisville (thanks Rick). I think Mack would be an outstanding hirer for ND. ND and Xavier are very similar in there approach to athletics. Mack is not the greatest recruiter but he is a great teacher and X’s and O’s coach. He learned a lot from Pete Gillan, Skip Processer and Sean Miller. If my Musketeers had not hired Sean Miller back, I would have been very happy bring Mack back to Victory Parkway.

For sure.

Am an X parent myself (2 daughters graduated from there -- one of my best friends growing up has his father in the HOF there as well). Always liked Mack, and was irked when he left Xavier (understand why, still irked). I can see him fitting in here as well.

Xavier has had a great run of basketball since I was there in late 80’s early 90’s. My daughter is heading to XU next fall.

Neile Ivey is going to be "promoted" from WBB head coach to MBB head coach. 😁. In doing so, ND will be the first Div 1 men's sport with a female head coach.
