Mike Tirico is a tough act to follow. Again, like them both.
So do I … most people seem to hate everything from announcers to the shirt to our uniform pants color.
I agree about flutie though I do think he improved over time went from awful

When you grew up with Hammond&Haden every Saturday now is like music. They were the true dumbnamic duo.
Baffling how NBC/ND are totally sold out and committed to milquetoast broadcasts. It might as well be a golf tournament. I think one of the better ones was Charlie Jones....who at least changed his volume and pitch of voice during a play. Pat Hayden is the classic dweeb......all too common while broadcasting Notre Dame.
Yes he has. Doesn't mean he's a good announcer. One of the greatest players of all time in sports was one of the worst announcers, Bill Russell. And one of the greatest players in sports history was one of the worst gms and evaluators of talent ever, Michael Jordan
Just because you have knowledge doesn't mean you are good at those jobs
Announcers make the game more or less enjoyable to an extent. So yes it does matter to some people
Jason Garrett is indeed a good announcer, very good actually. You're wrong.
In your opinion. Most people think he's awful. But it's all an opinion
He's beyond boring and brings no excitement to the game
Email the next Notre Dame Athletic Director, Pete Bevacqua, who currently runs NBC Sports, and let him know "most people..." believe Jason Garrett is awful.
He needs to know soon.
How can the next Notre Dame AD, Pete Bevacqua......who is a Notre Dame graduate, be so negligent.

I think he's both. I have zero problem with Jason Garrett announcing out games
I find garrett knowledgeable but extremely bland. Collinsworth is a great story, but this isn't the platform for him. Together the two just don't have the right dynamic for my taste.

I don't need Gus Johnson from Fox screaming at the TV every 5 minutes announcing CFB. That's why I appreciate Collinsworth and Garrett, they are both professional and knowledgeable without making a broadcast about them........ and I get why Pete Bevacqua, top shelf at NBC Sports, and a Notre Dame grad, signed off on both.
My God, just how boring does the game have to be to have to draw your excitement from the announcers? For me, I just watch the game and hope, if anything, the announcers can provide some opinion and insight. Which Jason Garrett does

Garrett is horrible. I liked Brees more that him and didn't really like him either.
Why does Pete Bevacqua, top shelf and the man in charge at NBC Sports, a Notre Dame grad, and the next Notre Dame Athletic Director, allow the "horrible...." as you say Jason Garrett to announce ND Football games?
