NBA Playoffs

Traveling and palming is the least of the problems, although its an issue. New rules favor the offense, and defenses can't be physical, it's a soft league. The teams that actually move the ball and play hoops at a recognizable level are the ones who compete, but yes, the league has fallen dramatically from the days of Stockton, Payton, Jordan, Barkley and are long gone.

And has fallen WAY OFF from the days of the Celtics, Lakers, Pistons and even the Bulls (the 1st 3 peat set) -- there way too many drives to the basket that had any of the mentioned teams been there -- there would have been some hard fouls -- especially from the Pistons, Celtics and Lakers.

Larry Bird would be nullified by Lebron. Bird was not that much of an athlete and rarely did the other side put their best D player on him.

Erroneous.... Your statement is so full of sh$t, your eyes are brown.
Bird would be "Nullified" by no one.... He was that good.
Would Lebron do a better job on him than most? Absolutely.
But to say nullified is a complete and utter embellishment and an untruth.
As far as Bird as an athlete, you are correct...... What Larry Legend WAS, is a basketball player.
And although they are often the same thing, they are disparate and distinct traits.
Now go get your fuvkin shine box.

Charles Barkeley said Lebron still doesn't crack his top 7 players all time. He has Kobe at number 6.

I'm a Laker fan, but I would trade a young Kobe AND Charles Barkeley for the right to draft and sign LeBron out of HS. I would also toss in Luke Walton to sweeten the deal. So, 3 for 1.

Thats a tough one. Young Kobe or Lebron. Kobe was a killer.

Young Kobe couldn't win with Vlade. LeBron would win with Vlade.

Young Kobe won with Shaq. LeBron with Shaq? Winning not a problem.

Lebron didn't win with old Shaq. Cavs got beat in 2nd round of playoffs if I remember right

Kobe was a different player when he played with Vlade vs Shaq. He did mature some

Of course he didn't win with old Shaq? LeBron would be better of with Bodi's 82 year old Bill Russell.

Kobe is barely the 6th best Laker. Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, Kareem, Magic, Shaq...

Who's better arguments are tough in basketball because people play different positions. I generally answer those types of questions with who was more versatile. Kobe did certain things better than LeBron, but LeBron is much more versatile. Kobe was a better shooter and scorer. LeBron can play all 5 positions, Kobe can't. LeBron is a better post player, better rebounder, better passer and can defend all 5 positions well.

Who are the most versatile players of all time? It's hard to argue anyone was more versatile than Magic and LeBron. Many were better at individual positions, but who was better than them at all 5 positions?
