Najee Harris - best RB in the country for 2017

Have seen Najee Harris play - he is the best HS running back I have ever seen and probably the best one in the country for 2017. Fast and mean - runs like someone stole his lunch money and he needs to score a TD on every run and also punish you for trying to tackle him. Have never seen a kid run as fast and as mean and nasty as this kid. Saban offered him a full ride after his sophomore HS season. He will be a HS senior in the fall. A 2017 recruit. If ND could land him he'd be their best RB ever. Whoever gets him - he will start and be dam good as true freshmen. He is old for his grade. A great kid from what I have heard - A great teammate who plays hard as hell all the time - a fighter who has special talents. This is the type of player ND needs. A player who is dam good who plays w/ a serious chip on his shoulder. Allen Pinket and Zibby would love this kid.

This may be accurate, but many fans are high on Kareem Walker this year and I was not very impressed with Walker in the Under Armour game.

Notre Dame was never hard after Walker, and many felt that he was overrated as he didn't have college size when he was younger and making more explosive plays (but not as consistent between the tackles). As he's added the size he'll need in college, all of his numbers have gone down (despite being older) and he hasn't looked nearly as good. Beyond that, he's shown major fumbling issues.

Walker is an average 4* RB imo, and nothing more. Not a bad prospect, but nothing to freak out about.




Just the opposite is true of Harris

Notre Dame has continued to pursue him 100%...despite his Alabama committment...and it seems like he's listening, a little

I'd be shocked if we ended up with Harris, but he's an absolute sure-fire stud!!
If he doesn't end up as the #1 RB in this class, it's only because of Dylan Moses being the best RB/LB athlete to come out in a while too



Both of those players would start for ND as true frosh

Best ever I've seen in Calif playing HS RB. I've watched HS football in Calif for over 30 years. As for best ever at ND - if he goes to ND - well you are right - we'd have to wait and see. My hunch is he will be one of the best RB in the country where ever he goes yo college. We all know Saban is a pretty good talent evaluator and I wonder how many kids have gotten full ride offers during their sophomore season of HS football. My guess is Najee is one of those rare talents.
