While I dislike FSU I am also hoping for N.C. State to win and help the Irish strength of schedule if we can keep the wins coming and finish 11-1 or 10-2

Chubb and Samuels are the real deal. Unlike Landry, Chubb has the entire package and Samuels is a match-up nightmare. NCS also likes their trick plays with several RB/WR passes.

Should FSU finish as a 2-3 loss team, and ND a 2 loss team, I could see that as a bowl matchup.

ND is going to have its work cut out for them when they play ncs.

They don't have all the talent ND has, but they seem to be well coached and play up to top opponents.

Where is Duo?

NDAF.......

Right here.

I started a thread a while back saying NC State was sneaky tough. Turns out to be a bit too tough for a true freshman QB. Best of luck to the Irish with the Wolfpack.

Herb - N.C. State is the real deal. Since I'm in NC and have several friends that are grads, I've watched them many times each year.

Their front seven on defense is comparable to Georgia's (the front four for sure). Their offense can both run and pass the ball with equal effectiveness.

That will be tougher than I had thought prior to the beginning of the season.

There were posters here on this board a while back saying NC State was no different than Temple or Wake. All I can say is good luck.

They should have beaten both Clemson (missed FG to win) and FSU (dropped INT in the end zone) last year. Experienced team. They aren't typical the kind of team to put up huge points so will likely be a defensive war for us.

USC is looking dreadful.
The defense has too many injuries and a lack of depth combined with rather mediocre coaching.
SC is going to be in a tussle today.

Who said that? I'd be really interested in reading what they actually said.

Another factor was FSU had had two games cancelled, and was only playing in their 2nd game, while NC State was playing its 4th game. I think that probably hurt FSU a bit. But it was still a good win for NC State, and they'll be a tough opponent for us later on.

Agreed. Unfortunate for FSU being off that long. Big disadvantage.

FWIW opinion

Ncst is good not great. They lost a game to an average South Carolina team. They will be tough to beat but the Irish should be able to do it. Florida st has a qb that needs a lot of work. They should get better as the season goes along. Today’s mich st game will be the test if the Irish ☘️ And wimbush will progress
