Schiano is connected with Sandusky. BK is connected to a 9, maybe a 10 win season, with embarrassing losses to Miami and Stanford. You will never, in a million years, get the ND masses in the same frenzy over this as you would with anyone closely connected to Sandusky. You didn't have it when Brennan was HC. Not with Kuharich. Not with Devore. Not with Faust. Not with Devine. Not with Davie. Not with TW. Not with CW. Not with BK. Posters angry on a message board isn't enough to move the needle one fraction of an inch because fans making comments on a message board are not respected by anyone in power. Money is the only thing that will move the needle. Some want BW benched. Some want BK fired. Some want Jack fired. Basically the same crowd want heads to roll. If not BW, then who? If not BK, then who? If not Jack, then who?

That statement about ND is damning. Apparently the university is getting it’s just reward. Nothing is worse than indifference.

I have come to really realize that I, as a 60 year old alum, are way to physically, materially and emotionally invested in ND football. After suffering through last nights game, I’ve decided that that has to stop. It is clearer and clearer each passing day that this administration is more interested in the almighty dollar than it’s so called striving for excellence. Case in point is the face value of my game tickets went from $175 per last year to $300 per this year. For what? To support another embarrassing season. ND will never be really relevant again until that focus changes, until excellence is again the goal. So it’s simply, my little, individual protest starts today

I will no longer attend games either individually or my annual one game with my family
I will not purchase any merchandise related to ND
I will no longer alter any schedule to watch ND football games
I have cancelled both my tickets and my subscription of 30+ years to BGI

ND needs to play in half empty stadiums with crappy TV rating, with an seriously interrupted money flow before they will ever really compete again. For me a cleaning of the house from the top to the coach also needs to happen. Jenkins, Jack and Kelly all need to be replaced.

I now do believe that we are actually irrelevant. The landscape has changed and we took our eye off the ball, the result is 20+ years and counting of pure mediocrity.
