I was pleased at the Temple blowout and I was excited for a victory over Georgia. I was pissed off to the extreme after the Georgia loss. Especially at the Head coach. I really think that was a winnable game and Georgia will not finish in the top ten. But after venting for a few days I got all the emotion out of my system. I watched the Boston college game and I did not feel anything when the Irish started off losing--not one swear word. I really enjoyed the 35 point barrage the Irish running game and defense the Irish put on the last 20+ minutes of the game and I gained confidence in Wimbush and the team. Now going into Michigan State I am expecting a win but I am not that excited for the game. I will be watching the game with math formulas going through my head like that guy Dr. Nash from the movie "A beautiful mind". Moving from emotion to cold analysis. I hope to enjoy another victory without getting upset. I think after years of emotional ups and downs of watching the Irish play my brain has rewired itself--self protection.
Go Irish.. Win the battle of the trenches...comitt zero turnovers.. Create plus turnovers... Gain over 300 yards rushing.. 200 yards passing... Score at least five touchdowns.. Make any field goal attempts... Stay perfect in the red zone... Gang tackle.. Give up zero punt return yards.. get three sacks and 4 hurries...

I gave up a few years ago emotionally investing in the games. I would be upset after a loss and sky high after a win. I have just learned that a win or a loss the sun still comes up and bills still need to be paid. Of course a win does make it a little easier..... :)

It's sports my friends ... without emotion it all really means nothing. There is nothing wrong with getting pissed after a loss, or sky high after a win. It's called being a fan. As Fifth says, the earth revolves around the sun and life trucks on in either case. Emotion is fandom, and its good

UGA is maybe a better team than you give credit. Remember UGA was playing a true Fr. with no game experience who was starting his first game on the road at Notre Dame no less!
If the UGA offense had Eason the game might not have been as close.

From what I heard all through the previous week leading up to game time, the kid had more of an upside than Eason. Fromm didn't win the game anyway. The key is he didn't lose it. It's not like BW was a veteran game tested Heisman candidate either. This game was decided by the Georgia defense and our OL IMHO. I really thought that our last drive would translate to a Yoon FG to win it. It didn't sink in until the last fumble.

If that happens we might actually break the top

The Georgia issue was that it was another game close against one of the better teams. BK always serves up a very nice oh so close performance but so sorry maybe next time.

It's become annoying and old, truth be told.

I like the direction the defense is going under Coach Elco. I especially like the fighting spirit the lads have shown in the first three games. Go Irish!!!
