I posted this in another thread after reading what Lou wrote about what would be a successful season by ND and he pointed out that ND has not WON a major bowl game in 20 years or (it could have been that 20 plus teams have won a major bowl since the last time ND has won). So my question is since we all know ND is relevant in our eyes and for the most part in the nation eyes why is ND relevant when ND has not won anything of relevance? In a time where we have seen Bama, FSU, Oreg, Bay, TCU, Aub and to a certain extent Stanford become more relevant than ND to an extent.

Like I said in a previous thread, the society we live in now is a "what have you done for me lately" type of society, what has ND done to remain relevant on the football field?

I always see people complaining about the recruits ND gets, but for ND to get the type of recruiting they have had without winning anything of importance is just amazing in my opinion and shows that BK know what he is doing when it comes to recruiting, but it has not translated on the field.

So what are some of you guys thoughts on this topic?
