About a half hour ago, it was reported by the New York Post that Al Michaels reached an agreement with Amazon to be the lead play-by-play man for Thursday Night Football. Now, Mike Tirico will take over the reins as the play-by-play guy for Sunday Night Football. For what its worth, Michaels will still do "a game or two" for NBC.
Since joining NBC, Tirico has called a handful of SNF games in the past but still remained the voice of ND Football. I have seen no reports that this will end Tirico's tenure calling Notre Dame games. Perhaps, @Tyler James and @Eric Hansen can shed some more insight.
