It is amazing the quick start to recruiting ND is having considering the year we are coming off of..... I have noticed the 'Negative Nancy's' of the board have gone back into their caves.... for the time being.

So tell us, aside from #'s oh wise recruiting expert how does ND compare to the usual recruiting powers, the powers that close very strong as opposed to fast starts? tell us? Or do you live in a box? Do you think other teams are sitting idle, saying 'wow' ND is getting all the players!? Enjoy the good start, but keep perspective.
Is ND gaining ground on those teams? tell us wise one?
Tell us: USC? SU? tOSU?, UM?, Clemson? UGA, UW, Bama, FSU? ...?

Sometimes your posts are pertinent . Often they're banal and tiresome. We all know signing day is almost a year away and if they hv a crappy yr on the field then defections from the ranks will ensue. That's stating the obvious. Which some posters on this board like to do over and over aud nasuem . It's 2/16 and ND had 7 4 star verbal commits for 18 already! Ranked #2 on 247 and Rivals. With another 4 star commit soon on its way from the speedster from Oregon. How as ND fans can we not be thrilled with the recent recruiting results. .... don't gv me Alabama and Ohio State blah blah blah... I'm sick of reading that crap. Different schools who play by different rules. So who cares.. Brian Kelly is not my choice to be the HC but credit should be given where credit is due. This staff is doing an outstanding job on the recruiting trail after an inexcusable 4-8 season. Things are on a upswing in the program and I'm happy about that. After the Van Gorder experiment and a 4-8 season recruiting could be a helluva lot worse than it currently is. Enjoy the really good news and stop raining on the parade for the sake of just being a contrarian.

But still recruiting at this juncture while encouraging is early. I follow the recruiting of the teams on ND's schedule and those that ND is ultimately 'chasing' in the polls. So yes it is great to get a pair of recruits w/ .89 and .92 composites; but I also check how the competition is doing. It is a ultimately a talent grab!
What 2 DT targets are "Must Gets"?
I can't think of any that even begin to approach "Must Get" status

The 2017 class wasn't even near this point. By this time last year we only had 4 recruits in the class and only 3 were ranked as 4*'s at that point.
This is a MUCH stronger start to a class than any I remember
So what are you trying to say with all this garbage?
Are you going for some: This level of recruiting won't help ND gain on quality programs?
The current average 24/7 rating for ND's class would be good for 4th last year (the same as USC's)
So I'm not sure how that wouldn't be considered "gaining" on quality teams
And that's all failing to consider the fact that this section of ND's class is likely to have it's total 24/7 rating increase
(that's the normal trend in their rankings...plus there a few guys likely to get a bump)
