I had to laugh now that the sting of that loss is a few days removed. This was classic-

"Bunch of f*cking soccer mom productions that wouldn't know their f*cking *ss from a hole in the ground when it comes to football, sitting in that sh*tty little f*ckbox cheering on their dorkified band. Oh, did a football game f*cking break out? Whatever is that?
F*ck them, and f*ck that whiny douchebag that coaches them and got his cabal of Pac 12 refs to do him a solid tonight. Not one call. Not one f*cking call. F*ck you Swarbrick, for allowing that sh*t show. F*ck you. Did I mention, f*ck you?
Those little tw*ts actually make me long for the do-nothing little f*cksticks at Southern Cal.
F*ck me."

Will that make it past the B&G board moderators? As always, thanks for posting IB!

I must be getting old. While I certainly found humor in the meltdowns, I also found them very silly. C'mon, we're grownups. Our team lost a game. No one died, no one was seriously injured, the sun will still come up tomorrow, etc. I don't gamble so I didn't lose any money on the game.

As I've gotten older (58 y.o.), I've had too many loved ones and friends die so I just don't invest myself emotionally in sports. I like to follow the Irish and the Patriots and will occasionally watch a Ducks' game but I just don't get emotionally invested. When the kick sailed through the uprights, I stood up, kissed my wife, told her it was an entertaining and well-played game, and then got on with my life.

I think it is absurd that the Bosox are paying a pitcher an average of $30M/year for the next 7 years. I haven't enjoyed watching basketball since Ruth Riley and the women's team won the championship.

Of course, this is probably why I don't have 20,000 posts on this board or get into pissing matches with Pers or Turnover Machine or the other folks who seem to only live to love/hate Irish football. I will continue to follow the Irish and will check on this board from time to time, mostly to see if there is any news about new recruits, injuries, coaching changes, etc. While I value the opinions of a few (far too few) posters, it is just not worth my time to both reading all of the silly posts. Like 35, it is time to ride off into the sunset.

I wish everyone the best and hope that everyone gets some true enjoyment from participating in this board. For me, I'm going to go prepare for a great Christmas with my wife and daughter, read some good books and wait for the bowl game.

"i swear to f#cking god notre dame finds the most agonizing way to lose a really big game every f#cking year without fail. F#CK"

^ What this person said basically sums up my thoughts after every big game Kelly coaches in. I'm almost numb to it now.

To be honest. The single biggest reason I read these is to see how outraged people can get about something that really means nothing. It gives me comedy. That is my version of watching stand up comedy.

The first sign ND is heading to the trash can as a program, "no one died." There are so many people on this board that have no competitiveness in themselves at all. It's sad.

It's sad that we have to cope with your idiocy on a daily basis.
