thought we'd go an entire season without making this list... Oh, well
I must have missed that one. Still out cold, I think.ND was on it for Clemson week as well.
I have tried and never made the 'wall of shame'. I don't know where they get them from. But they are funny to read.Do any of these come from this board? Anyone want to fess up to making the wall of shame?
I must be getting old. While I certainly found humor in the meltdowns, I also found them very silly. C'mon, we're grownups. Our team lost a game. No one died, no one was seriously injured, the sun will still come up tomorrow, etc. I don't gamble so I didn't lose any money on the game.
As I've gotten older (58 y.o.), I've had too many loved ones and friends die so I just don't invest myself emotionally in sports. I like to follow the Irish and the Patriots and will occasionally watch a Ducks' game but I just don't get emotionally invested. When the kick sailed through the uprights, I stood up, kissed my wife, told her it was an entertaining and well-played game, and then got on with my life.
I think it is absurd that the Bosox are paying a pitcher an average of $30M/year for the next 7 years. I haven't enjoyed watching basketball since Ruth Riley and the women's team won the championship.
Of course, this is probably why I don't have 20,000 posts on this board or get into pissing matches with Pers or Turnover Machine or the other folks who seem to only live to love/hate Irish football. I will continue to follow the Irish and will check on this board from time to time, mostly to see if there is any news about new recruits, injuries, coaching changes, etc. While I value the opinions of a few (far too few) posters, it is just not worth my time to both reading all of the silly posts. Like 35, it is time to ride off into the sunset.
I wish everyone the best and hope that everyone gets some true enjoyment from participating in this board. For me, I'm going to go prepare for a great Christmas with my wife and daughter, read some good books and wait for the bowl game.
The first sign ND is heading to the trash can as a program, "no one died." There are so many people on this board that have no competitiveness in themselves at all. It's sad.I must be getting old.
