Paul Atkinson Jr. didn't have a choice to be anything but the man inside for Wednesday night. He delivered with 17 points and 15 rebounds in an ugly win that counts the same for the ACC-leading Irish.

Game story:

Game thread below.

Notre Dame (16-7, 9-3 ACC) will look to return to its winning ways at home tonight against Louisville (11-12, 5-8). The Irish haven't played at Purcell Pavilion since the 57-43 loss to No. 9 Duke on Jan. 31. Notre Dame won its last two games on the road at Miami, 68-64, and NC State, 69-57.

With a win tonight, the Irish will move into sole possession of first place in the ACC. The Irish enter the night tied in the standings with Duke, who lost at home Monday to Virginia.

It looks like the Irish will be without starting forward Nate Laszewski, who suffered a bone bruise to his knee against NC State. Head coach Mike Brey indicated Tuesday that Matt Zona would likely enter the rotation in Laszewski's absence.

Notre Dame won at Louisville, 82-70, on Jan. 22. Freshman guard Blake Wesley led the Irish in scoring with 22 points.

A win tonight would become the first time in program history ND beat Louisville twice in the same season. The Irish are 10-1 at home.

Tip is at 7 p.m. EST.
