Surprising, he was looking st being a starter in 2017-2018.

Guess he just got tired of watching other guys jack air balls while he's sitting on the pine!
I disagree with the above posters view of Ryan. I agree he was not always a consistent shooter but he showed more ability to drive to the hoop and make assists and score toward the end of the season. He did what he could on defense but he is a true wing player by nature and he lacks some boxing out and big man defensive skills. Still, overall he outperformed Beachem and he was given way less minutes. Brey plays favorites so Ryan left. I said all along that Ryan's development was the key to ND going further in the tournament because I saw that Beachem was a hot or cold player and unfortunately more cold at the end of the season. Good competion among players brings out the best in everyone. If you know ahead of time that you can stink up the gym and still get 35 minutes playing time then you get players operating below potential. I also think some of the starters were either fatigued or banged up from a long grueling season which is another reason to go 10 deep. I dont expect much from Elijah Burns so next year we have little to no depth. I would rather focus on class of 2018 and try to land 2 to 3 top prospects that can contribute immediately similar to Kentucky. By the way, I heard from a good source that Kentucky cheats and I wont go any further with this.
News flash. Georgetown is eyeing Brey and Shaka Smart. Apparently they both said no.
Yep. At ND no one cares about or watches the basketball team so there is no pressure on Brey to coach hard and succeed. He would most likely flop at a place where he was under a microscope.Brey would be crazy to go to a school with basketball expectstions.

Absolutely no hard evidence to support that absurd opinion. You and bugjuice must get your drinking water from flint.Yep. 17 years of winning proves his opinion is absurd.
