is there any gender neutral coaches out there and can we set up safe space just in case of a macro or micro aggression.
I think recruits would see right through this, and it, generally, would provide little, if any, benefit in and of itself.
Clearly you have no clue. Wrong type of guy, wrong time and wrong place. Yes, maybe it's time California create it's own country. People out there live in another universe.
Why would you want a fired NFL coach?
Pete Carroll is the great exception to the rule, and it took the peculiarities of CA, specifically Hollywood, to make that work. The rule is that long time NFL guys struggle mightily as CFB HCs, because they are too far removed from recruiting and other things essential to the college game. Can ND afford to have an NFL guy spend 2 years learning on the job about college coaching? All kinds of NFL guys have trouble even hiring a staff that will work best for CFB.
That worked when it was a novelty. The reality is that if you are an SEC AD and think hiring a black guy will help you land the kind of talent you need to dethrone Bama, LSU, and Florida, then you are stupid enough to be Mississippi State - which learned its lesson and now is winning far above its station, with a coach who deserves major consideration for bigger jobs.
