Mark Richt donating $1 million of his own money to the U of Miami!

Miami still needs about 500 more million dollar donations and then they will be on the way to closing the facilities gap between the Canes and FSU & Florida.

True..........but, nothing like leading by example.

When you make millions of dollars per year and only manage to win about
60% of your games, the guilt must start setting in. So you give a little back.

South Bender..........

Interesting point, just curious.....how much did big Charlie give to ND?

Good for him. I think Osborne gave back and not that it matters, given what went down, paterno too. Charley is certainly an example of someone who should have, ( essentially stole 18mm from the school he attended). Curious to know what other coaches gave back

I'm no lawyer, but I'm pretty sure signing a legal contract, agreed upon by both parties, is not stealing as has been alleged. The contract might have hurt a few sensitive feelings but it's not theft. And now Charlie has to match up with Mark Richt in the sainthood competition just to try and prove a pointless debate? "Hannah and Friends". Ring a bell? Dollar for dollar, what have you done? And here it comes.........

I probably wouldn't characterize Charlie's situation as stealing because ND was willing to pay the price. "Backing up for one's paycheck" might be more appropriate.
