Marcus Freeman started off slow at D coordinator last season too

He was able to make whatever personnel adjustments needed over the course of the '21 season, and the defense was playing its best ball during the ladder half of the season. It's funny how that is transpiring while he's a head coach as well. Since starting the season 3-3, ND has looked as good as I can remember over their last 3 wins.
