You say this like we didn't get to follow him at ND for 4 years.Amount strength, heart, courage, inspiration Just an amazing person
That’s a bit harsh! You say this like we didn't get to follow him at ND for 4 years.
What I find shitty is that Manti was ALWAYS an A1 guy but the ND fanbase and ND communities turned their backs on him when shit hit the fan with that catfish situation. And now that the media says its ok to like Manti Te'o again, after that Netflix documentary, he's being fellated on social media and ND is capitalizing by showing him off like their prodigal son has returned.
Swarbrick stood by Manti, Kelly seemed to abandon him.You say this like we didn't get to follow him at ND for 4 years.

If I could put a case of likes on this post I would ofI agree...to have your life layed out like that...he hasn't hid from it. He has owned it. Great person and a great ND man.
I wasn't talking about the player. I was talking about the man who showed all his warts. You say this like we didn't get to follow him at ND for 4 years.

He came out with his side of the story a few days after the deadspin article was published. It was an obvious catfish situation. ND turned their backs on him anyway despite him giving his all to this university and taking it to its greatest heights in the modern era of college football.very few people know he was unaware of the true situation he was in at the time
You don’t know details. He came out with his side of the story a few days after the deadspin article was published. It was an obvious catfish situation. If i was Manti i wouldn't want anything to do with ND after the way they tried to create as much space from him after everything went down.
I love a lot of things about ND football but almost everything about the way the university is ran just rubs me the wrong way. A bunch of self righteous wealthy pearl clutching white elites more worried about their reputation and self interests than the well being of one of their own.
All I know is that ND was parading Manti around like the 2nd coming of jesus himself during the 2012 season, only to drop him like a bad habit as soon as some controversy and adversity hit. And only now (over a decade later) is he finally getting the praise/treatment/respect he deserved the entire time but only now after it is 'safe' from a PR perspective. You don’t know details.
I hear you, but maybe that was Manti’s choice. If that happened to me….I think I’d want to lay low while things calm down. All I know is that ND was parading Manti around like the 2nd coming of jesus himself during the 2012 season, only to drop him like a bad habit as soon as some controversy and adversity hit. The date of this very topic is a good example of my point. This post should have been published back in 2013, not in 2022.The fanbase never treated him poorly and I don't remember the institution treating him poorly
Chase is a typical liberal always looking for a victim. All i know is you are delusional
The fanbase never treated him poorly and I don't remember the institution treating him poorly and if it was that harsh I don't believe he would said he wants his unborn son to be a part of ND
why you skimping? My response to all the dickbags (both then and now) is simple...
"1) The Butkus Trophy is REAL
2) Heisman Runner-up is REAL
3) His degree from the University of Dame is REAL
4) Million $ NFL salary is REAL
5) His Gorgeous wife is REAL
This guy is living about as good a life as possible; what does your life look like in comparison?"

I was on the board at that time pretty regularly and I don't remember anyone dogging him. I do remember the Deadspin article but my impression at that time was feeling sorry for him and not scorn. The date of this very topic is a good example of my point. I remember that night. The board was crazy. Tons of rumors. Visitors from all over the country. No one really knew what to think.I was on the board at that time pretty regularly and I don't remember anyone dogging him. That’s NOT true. All I know is that ND was parading Manti around like the 2nd coming of jesus himself during the 2012 season, only to drop him like a bad habit as soon as some controversy and adversity hit. I don’t think the fan base ever turned on Manti….and I think Kelly in particular had a view that was not welcoming to former players, something Freeman has totally changed. All I know is that ND was parading Manti around like the 2nd coming of jesus himself during the 2012 season, only to drop him like a bad habit as soon as some controversy and adversity hit. I dont know about coach but it's good to have him around that's for sureI get the vibe that maybe Manti wants to be more involved with ND. Maybe coach? I think he’d be a good guy to have around. Like JL.
God damn, it doesn't wtf the subject matter is, you guys will find a way to drag BK's name through the mud.Bingo
