Here are tonight's Lucky Charms...

*** Notre Dame has a home game Saturday. So does Wisconsin. Where will Fond du Lac (Wis.) St. Marys Springs' class of 2022 offensive guard Billy Schrauth visit this weekend with his high school having its playoff game on Thursday? I'm told nowhere. I'm not a hunting guy, but I was told it's deer season in Wisconsin, which is a big deal, so that will be his focus this weekend. Schrauth is an early enrollee so he'll be signing in December. In talking to various sources this week on Schrauth, there's nothing new to report. I believe he will wait until after his high school season ends to make his choice; it may be a signing day decision at this rate.

*** I'm hearing that Notre Dame is interested in Wake Forest specialist commit Bryce McFerson and he may even get to campus soon. I do not know at this time how hard Notre Dame is actively pushing for McFerson, or if he's a scholarship take right now, but the Fighting Irish are in communication with the All-American Bowl recruit.

*** Notre Dame has 22 commitments for its 2022 class, and the range of players they could end up taking is still up in the air. Personally, I see them taking a full boat of 25, but we will see. Who will those players be to join the class is obviously the big question. In my three recruiting classes covering Notre Dame, there always seems to be a late surprise (or two in last year's case) down the stretch, and with the coaching carousel about to get crazy around the country, I would prepare for a hectic December. No, I don't have any names to give right now but I'm sure they will pop up.

*** Notre Dame will host Michigan class of 2023 interior offensive lineman Dylan Senda for a visit this weekend. As I've said in reporting on Senda previously, I would put in a FutureCast prediction right away if the Fighting Irish offer Senda. He has a top eight schools list of Cincinnati, Iowa, Miami, Michigan State, West Virginia, Penn State, Northwestern and Michigan, but if Notre Dame offers this kid, I think he's all Irish. He is very much a Notre Dame-type kid to me.

*** With all of the movement here recently on the 2023 defensive back board, one name we're not talking about enough is Tulsa (Okla.) Booker T. Washington's Micah Tease. Oklahoma is considered by most as the team to be considering he's an in-state recruit, but I wouldn't sleep on Notre Dame in the recruitment. I love him in the nickel and he's a very good receiver recruit as well.

*** Michigan landed a commitment a couple nights ago from Chicago Marist linebacker Jimmy Rolder, who exploded onto the scene as a senior, going from a no-offer prospect to a four-star recruit with a handful of Power Five scholarships. It's worth noting that Rolder is someone Notre Dame was keeping an eye on as a contingency plan -- for the lack of a better term. Personally, I wouldn't rule him out if something were to happen on Notre Dame's linebacker commitment list, but it's probably a moot point, as I don't expect the Irish to lose a linebacker pledge.

I wrote this up Thursday morning on my way to Florida for a wedding. I loaded up this breakfast edition of Lucky Charms because I won't be able to post anything tonight.

I will have my visitor preview article this afternoon. It's not a big recruiting weekend; the headliners are 2023 CB target Christian Gray, 2022 LB commit Jaylen Sneed and a few 2023 commits. McFerson would be an interesting addition too.
