Here are tonight's Lucky Charms...

*** It's been a busy week in the world of Notre Dame football recruiting. Lost in the shuffle may be an important offer that the Fighting Irish dished out on Wednesday, as Atlanta Marist safety Joshua Moore received good news from Terry Joseph. I spoke with Moore last night, and he was fired up about Notre Dame; he has an obvious connection to Irish safety Kyle Hamilton. Moore started at cornerback for Marist as a sophomore when Hamilton was a senior, and they keep in touch often. Moore plans to get to Notre Dame before making a decision, but he's not afraid to make a commitment to a school without visiting campus. If Notre Dame pushes, you have to like its chances for Moore, who could be a rover for the Irish.

*** Notre Dame tight ends coach John McNulty offered a pair new tight end prospects Wednesday in the 2022 class, including Milton (Ga.) High's Jack Nickel, who holds over 20 scholarship offers. Nickel visited Notre Dame last November for the USC game, and obviously, McNulty wasn't the team's tight ends coach during that time. So McNulty and Nickel are kicking off their relationship, and they had a 45 minute video chat call (with Nickel's parents as well) that resulted in Nickel receiving the offer. Nickel is looking to take his time with the recruiting process but admitted that Notre Dame would be a top school for him in the long run. Nickel’s father is Paul Nickel, who played for Stanford in the early 1990s. He was a part of a Cardinal team that upset Notre Dame in 1990.

*** With Notre Dame planning to take two additional receivers in the 2021 class along with Lorenzo Styles, the board may expand even more. A prospect to keep an eye on is Albany (Ga.) Westover Senior's Jordyn Williams, a 6-1, 185-pounder with offers from the likes of Alabama, Louisville, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Tennessee and others. Notre Dame has been showing some interest in him.

(Moving on to a non-Georgia prospect)

*** A class of 2022 tight end prospect to remember is Nate Kurisky, a 6-3, 225-pounder from Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga. He holds offers from Boston College, Maryland, Michigan State, Pittsburgh,Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech. Notre Dame is looking at Kurisky, who catches passes from 2021 five-star quarterback recruit Caleb Williams.
