I know I'm not a big fan but his antics, but his record speaks for itself in a much more competitive SEC West schedule than what ND competes against in most years.
The guy is a proven winner and is one of the best recruiters in the entire country. He has plenty of Midwest ties with being from Ohio and playing at Michigan.
He understands the importance of running the ball and with the right offensive coaches around him he could be very good in South Bend.
2 things really contributed to his demise at LSU. 1. Unfortunately for him Alabama is a dynasty and that is what LSU was comparing themselves to. 2. For whatever dumb reason he just couldn't part with Cam Cameron who was a terrible OC for him.
His defenses were always some of the best in the SEC, runs the football, tremendous recruiter, and has a lot of ties to great assistants.
With each depressing week under Kelly, I'm thinking more and more about the possibility of ND reaching out to Les to see if he would have any interest of coming back to the Midwest.
