The Irish win was si awesome, but listening to the SEC cry is just a step below.

With all the backhanded compliments to ND, and crying by the panel makes it easy to bath in their tears.

Kurt Herbstreit and his constant whining is mind bending.
On a better note Listening to Freeman makes me feel great about the future of Notre Dame football.

I almost threw up last night when Sean McDonough explained the outcome, “I’m not sure if Indiana just had a bad night or if they are just a bad team”.

As if no other reasonable explanation exists
Yeah, that became the narrative pretty much from halftime on. Not like ND had anything to do with IU's pedestrian performance.

He's no different than several posters on this board.

They're never satisfied and most of the time when ND beats a good team they later claim "They're not really that good".

So thankful I watch the game with the sound off! I was disappointed we weren’t able to get more pressure on the qb with all the blitzing, but credit the DBs for great coverage. Indiana’s vaunted rushing attack was swallowed up by Cross and Mills and Rubio, and the speed and athleticism of our linebackers and defensive backs was on full display whenever they tried to run outside. Defense played a great 58 minutes last night!

I don't like McDonough's pontificating. He should just stick to calling the game.

Indiana deserved to be there. They earned it, with an 11-1 record out of the Big Ten. 9-3 teams that lost late in the year to 6-6 teams don't belong in IMO.

So were they saying an SEC team should have been in instead of Indiana?

Young defensive backfield too

South Carolina to be precise
Wow just wow. The least deserving three loss SEC team. I had a long post written in case it was Alabama or Mississippi, but they went with South Carolina who lost to both of the aforementioned teams.

espn is scum of the earth. Gaslighting. It’s pretty darn hard to argue a 9-3 team should be in over an 11-1 Power 4 team. So Alabama and Mississippi definitely deserve to be in over South Carolina based on head to head, but they went with South Carolina presumably because they didn’t have any bad losses.

Look at USC beating LSU (a team to whom South Carolina lost) and then losing five Big 10 games. Indiana performed way better against USC’s common opponents.

I despise espn. Their schtick really does rise to the level of mental abuse IMO. That or they’re insanely ignorant.

Georgia kicked the crap out of Clemson, and South Carolina won at Clemson in game 12.
So what? Did you actually watch that Clemson-South Carolina game?

Clemson was set to make a short FG to tie the game or even win it but for a fluky interception. It’s one game. Any team can win.

You were so convinced that Ole Miss was better than Georgia just because they happened to win convincingly over Georgia. It’s just one game.

Winning shuts everyone up. Georgia is the measuring stick. Gotta win that game. They are due
I wish that were true. Notre Dame has been winning for 10 years now and people still consider every win to be fraudulent.

I think ND could win the national championship this year and there would be discussion about how this was a down year for everyone and the national champion was less worthy.

Haters gonna hate

Here’s one thing to consider. The portal and NIL have allowed teams to be competitive and in some cases pretty darn good. No way is Indiana 11-1 this season without the transfer portal. They aren’t a “ powerhouse “. But let’s give them some credit. They are a darn good team. ND beat them and in a convincing way. Still , the perception is that the SEC is the pinnacle conference and that’s who everyone is compared with. ND has a huge opportunity to take the program a step higher. It will be great if they can beat Georgia. But even if they don’t , this has been a great year minus the NIL loss.

ESPN is a cesspool and the committee is just as bad. People talking about Vegas making playoff seeds? Lmao. Don’t even play the games anymore, just declare the winner to whoever has the most 5 stars and nfl daft picks or go w/ the sec fanboys on eapn that wanna put three loss teams in. Just virtualize every game. Sounds like a real hoot. 🤮

Just use an unbiased scientific method like F+ to decide it.
