He moves well in the pocket but like most QB's with limited experience he gets locked in on one receiver / one side of the field. Notre Dame's offense can still improve significantly if Kizer learns to go through his reads and not lock in. I think this tendency will lead to a few more INT's than he would otherwise like going forward. This kid has better pocket presence than anyone I have seen at ND. It's amazing for such a young kid how well he moves in the pocket.
I agree he needs to learn to go through his progression, no doubt but I think that will come. He'll learn to look off DB's, pump fake, throw a receiver open. These are all things that will come with more experience. He moves well in the pocket but like most QB's with limited experience he gets locked in on one receiver / one side of the field. He is composed back there...steps up and away but sometimes he is so locked in he does not sense the blindside pressure and leaves open receivers while focussing on his primary target. I am sure if the opportunity is earned and it is given he will continue to improve...has all of the physical tools obviously just needs more icing on the cake.
