The Kizer interview on ESPN after the game showed a remarkably composed and articulate young man. Great job and a credit to the Irish.

Good win, Temple would win the ACC, a very good team.

You think Temple would beat Clemson?

I will not bring up FSU for the obvious answer

Its hard to get up for every game. Some games you just have to win no matter what. Cause every team ND plays usually puts our best effort. Its hard to match that intensity every week. At the end of the day ND won, last year Notre Dame would have lost this game.

I believe Stanford is feeling your post

I have to say he has the mental toughness needed to play at ND. Nothing against EG but this kids gets it. Will be a fun spring next season right now i give Kizer a edge over MZ.

Kizer wouldn't think you're a "truth teller".

great point Kizer - I love his leadership and competitiveness the anti Golson, a leader, a guy who wants to excel

Without the play of DK, Irish gets a big fat "L". He is young, young, young. He will soon be a team leader if he isn't already. The kid can play. Just think, when MZ went down, we ALL thought the season was lost.

the Kid has IT. some guys are just made for the spotlight. and I feel he is. plus I feel him playing all of the different sports was important in making him who is. the Kid is a winner. checked out of a run play to throw the winning td to W Fuller that is not what a freshman qb does. I was LMAO at Herbie describing the td that Kizer was lucky the ball wasn't picked off by the safety. when I saw the replay I told my wife only if the Temple safety were 10 feet tall was he coming down with that INT. that was a hellava throw by Kizer!!!!

The team that played ND tonight could certainly beat Clemson and would be favored over a mediocre and poorly coached FSU.
So wrong on so many levels.

I agree that Kizer is articulate. And if asked he would articulate how embarrassed he is that there are pseudo and illiterate ND fans like you posting crazy drival like this while representing his fine university.

I was listening to the ND post game show last night and one of the hosts made the comment that Irish players are well aware of what is said on social media and in print. The players themselves tell this media insider what is being said. So, all this embarrassing idiotic nonsense that is here, there, and everywhere apparently does get back to the players. It will never stop though. I don't blame them for an "us against them" philosophy.

Yes, but I believe that most of the 19 year old kids who read the comments of middle aged trolls (many which reside right here and you all know who you are) are more mature.

IF those kids are reading these message boards, they won't have time for school.

That said, Kizer is great. He wasn't real accurate last night, and I saw a couple of plays where he missed wide open guys and threw to others.(One was in the first quarter when he hit Brown for a first down and Fuller had gotten behind the defense and would have been free for a TD.) Kizer was also off a bit, throwing a few passes high that made receivers jump and allowed defenders to close the gap. But against a sophisticated defense, he played a hell of a game and that long run was a thing of beauty..

he has great presence. mistakes don't bother him. I think of a kid like dayne crist who had great, great talent but struggled with adversity. kizer seems to embrace the moment and the adversity seems to motivate him. he's gotta be a coaches dream. kudos to Sanford in preparing these guys.

Kizer is such a pleasure to watch. Very impressive on and off the field. It is going to be fun to watch him for the next few years. He is going to get better and better. He showed some speed on that long run.
Agree that Sanford has done a very good job with him. You can tell he can take the tough coaching that BK deals out.

I didn't see coach Kelly go grape face on Kizer even after the second RZ turn over so maybe coach Kelly learned what not to do.

Jack Nolan didn't say that the players actually read message boards and other type of social media, but are aware of what is being said through other sources. Probably classmates, friends, relatives. He made it clear that Joe S. was well aware of the talk about him. I found that interesting.

Last night we played the best (Diaco-like) defense we've faced this year. (Hard to tell with Clemson because of the conditions but those kids last night were very tough.

Not to mention the sideline. Fuller and only Fuller could make a play on that ball. TD or incomplete out of bounds. Perfect trajectory and spot.
