Kid is getting a lot of props for the tackle, but he's also lucky not to break his neck! He absolutely used wrong form to tackle with his head down and struck CJ with the top of his head. If CJ is a bigger kid the kicker could've been hurt bad!

Walk on Kicker. It's probably the first tackle he's had to make since HS.

Man, not only were the Irish fans sitting in the row in front of me drunk, beligerant, obnoxious, they talked and sounded a lot like some of you posting in here. I thought shamecock and wolfpack fans were bad. I expected a little more class, but all I got was bad languanged drunks. Have yet to see ANYONE over here give us credit for winning the game. Rather, ND just lost. 2020 cant get here soon enough.

A kicker right? Well a kicker has pads and a helmet and he probably weighs about 150 or 160 and he made a great hit. You don't have to be a 250 pound LB to cause a fumble. He closed his eyes lowered his head and hit the hit ball right on the button. If he is 6 inches off on either side he doesn't cause the fumble. Football is a game of inches and he just made a great play. (And yes it sucked to see a kicker make that play).

I hate that CJ fumbled and you can argue about the form but that kicker will be telling his grandkids some day about the time he made that tackle against Notre Dame.

Well, you had two weeks to prepare; got 4 turnovers; numerous dropped, wide open passes, numerous, drive killing penalties, some horrible decisions by the ND coach. ND had more first downs, yards, and time of possession. And, you won by two points. So, there is your credit.

LOL so, what youre saying is that ND self destructed and only lost by 2. Great moral victory. Clemson had NOTHING to do with the turnovers, yall just freely handed them to us. We held you guys to 22 points, but our defense had nothing to do with it. Your guys finally got smacked in the mouth on both sides of the ball and you dont like it. Were you one of the drunk obnoxious fans in front of me that turned around and said "We will beat you 9 out of 10 times???"

Was Sanders back in the game after that hit - I think that 150lb kid re-arranged his DNA on that hit.

Your kicker is lucky as heck he's not paralysyed or has a broken neck. Tackling w/ your head down right into a player like that is the surest way for him to never be playing football again. He dodged a bullet, but caused a fumble.

You gonna make it buddy.....chin up.....it is all gonna be all right.

I keep seeing (here, ESPN, etc) that the Clemson defense was stingy and took it to the ND offensive line. I guess by the numbers they stopped the run game, but exactly how hard is that to accomplish when you're sending an unblocked man every run play? What's worse is the ND offensive staff kept showing insanity by trying to run right up the gut into the blitzes. Count again how many guys Clemson had on or 5 yards w/in the line of scrimmage. Pure definition of insanity. No jet sweeps, quick tosses, option looks, etc. How does 3 coaches (Denbrock, Sanford and Kelly) not see this and adjust earlier?

Because if it was that easy, Texas, Virginia, Georgia Tech and UMass would have all done it.

Why was a true frosh returning a kick in that setting? It's just another error on Kelly's behalf. Put the 5th year senior in to start the second half.

Sanders is electric. I wish we'd use him more in the slot. No one would have held on to that direct hit on the ball.... Clemson made a great play...as they did on the strip of Brown.....

But it doesn't fit the poster's narrative of criticizing Kelly whenever possible.

This is absolutely hilarious given the context of this thread and the general content of this board over the past 4 days. You sure fencebuster is the one doing the crying? You might want to look a little harder.

You got all the calls and we almost handed you the game by running the A-gap about 20 times in the 2nd half, and those misfortunes/miscues on our part seem to have heavily skewed your perception of the arse-whooping you took on Saturday. I'm sorry you're having trouble discerning reality from self-confirmation, but you shouldn't take it out on fencebuster.

You're kidding yourselves if you can look back on how bad you were dominated in that first half (especially in the trenches) and pretend like you expected to win. It's easy to do that in hindsight, but I expect more people were fearing a 40-6 type outcome than would ever admit around these parts.

And that's entirely okay, because it would (almost) justify the blaring bickering and whining that you're ironically accusing fencebuster of.

Wow. In all that, not one statement I agree with.

You guys made some clutch plays. Kudos to you for the win. We didn't play well and let a golden opportunity slip away. Some of us not playing well was due to Clemson's efforts (excellent ball stripping among other things), some was failure on our part across the board from the HC down..... PS I think Dabo is a solid guy....

Dude, relax...the T/Os happened and you guys did well to cause them. Most of us are upset about the dropped balls that cost us points and BK not trusting his QB until the final quarter to beat the fact that CU was selling out against the run. CU won the game fair and square - no blame on refs, weather or T/Os.
