Hey dumb a$$ .... coach Kelly and his "card" cost us another game ... if he would've kicked the xp ... like any coach with half a brain would do ... we would've been up by one and could've and would've gone for 2 to be up by 3 .... this apparently wasn't an option because once again a stupid coach cost his team a solid effort

I agree with the guys saying chasing the points is stupid early. You do it when you have to not when there is 5 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter. But at the end of the day my goodness did the defense need them to score with 10 seconds left to hold on for the win? There was 30 seconds left. I put this one on the shoulders of the defense hands down. In my opinion Van Gorder is fired. Maybe Rex Ryan will be available as a DC.
Don't forget about the face mask penalty which was a players fault and has nothing to do with Van Gorder. It was a good scheme and Hogan was bottled up. 15 yards was the difference in the game. It also gave them hope and opened up the field.

10-2 after all the injuries this team had this season. 4 points keeps ND from a perfect 12 and 0 season and a date in the playoffs. Kelly should be coach of the year. But then again Buguit is the biggest jackass around.
Considering red zone issues going for two seemed odd. I looked as if DK had room to run up the middle on that play. Critics who point to the mathematics fail to account for changes in the score that influence later decisions. If we kick, it's 30-28. Shaw may make a different decision, as he would have were the score 31-28.

i watch all the games with a group of long time, successful coaches. not one of them questioned the decision to go for 2. haters gonna hate.
If Kelly would have decided to kick the XP, how would that have made a difference, Bug? ND would have lost by one instead of two.
If the two-point conversion had worked, the game would have been tied at the end and we would have seen OT, so in essence it was the correct choice.
But then again, your mantra is always "fire the coach" regardless of the sport.

I was texting a former Stanford and current NFL TE throughout the game. His text when numb nuts went for 2, "WTF was that?" PS He also likes a lot of what kelly does on O and asked, "Where are the TEs?" (O receptions) I explained the injuries and how Jones is more of a TE/WR/SR hybrid that needs more weight.... PS Luatua still 0 receptions....
