Two top linebacker recruits visiting South Bend this Saturday.

One is a current Alabama recruit and one is a former USC commit.

Many think we land Daelen Hayes, Khalid Kareem and Carlo Kemp.

All 4 star or higher defensive prospects !And we just landed a 4 star defensive prospect in Donte Vaughn !

Who were all the whiners who said Coach Kelly was just mailing it in and this recruiting class sucked !

You whiney, Debbie downer ,Mofo's are giving me a headache !!

Go Irish !

What is our recruiting limit? Will EE's. allow us to take more? Our staff has been intact so as long as we keep winning we should be fine.

at this point our limit is going to be limited by the 85 schollie limit. so depending on how many players leave early for the draft will determine how many we take. If Fuller, Smith, Prosise leave early and if Hayes transfers that will affect how many we take. I dont think EE will matter.

It will be interesting to see if Fuller, Prosise, Jaylon(any others that I'm missing?) decide to return. That will have a big impact on the amount of recruits that ND can take. If I'm not mistaken, even Stanley could come back(again), right? For me, and this could just be me being selfish, none of those guys have played so well as to guarantee themselves a 1st round grade. Also, there will be injuries/transfers that will free up spots. Every year we always worry about being able to sign "x" amount of players and then we still end up less than the 85 scholarship limit.

Ain't gonna happen but could you imagine??!!! Jaylon is top 5, Stanley is top 10, Fuller is a first rounder... The draft is tough on RB's but CJ "Chuch Muncie" Procise looks to be a top three rounder?

Stanley wont come back again, but could. He's being listed as the 3rd pick in 1 mock draft. I could see any of the others coming back, even all of them or i could see all leaving. Either way it wouldnt shock me. And if these predictions do in fact happen, this is a pretty good DLine haul:
Kareem
D. Hayes
J. Okwara
Ade
Jones
Kemp

Good lawd!

You insane if you don't believe Stanley and Jaylon dont/won't have R1 grades.

I believe ND can/wants a class of 20-22. EEs only affect the numbers if ND is taking more then 25.

Stanley = Gone, top 10 almost guaranteed pick
Jaylon = Sure best first rounder when ever he wants but he may stay for similar reasons like floyd, teo, stanley, eifert, martin, etc
Fuller = I'd say 50/50
Procise = I'd say 75/25 that he stays

To me I think a lot of these players do want their degree (fuller/Jaylon) so that can help hold them, also I think they want to ball out with their guy Malik next year (if he's the starter, and I think he will be if he's able to practice this spring with no contact).

Fuller will not be a first round pick on speed alone if he doesn't get his hands fixed. The NFL has seen plenty of fast players come and go. Fuller speed with Golden Tate's hands would = #1 pick!

Seeing Malik go down, they also see how quickly a season can get ruined.

A season get get ruined, but not a career.

Everyone that's stayed an extra year under Kelly has improved their stock, skill, and CHA CHING $$$$

I have a feeling Jaylon, Fuller and Procise will all get high enough evaluations to justify leaving. How many actually leave? Who knows?

I just watched some highlights of the recruits were still pursuing. Should have done myself a favor and not watched Melquise Stovall. Im gonna worry myself sick about wanting this guy to pick the Irish now. One of the most explosive APB I've seen on film. Small but super hard to bring down and very quick. He can change directions like no man's business and has unreal vision...... Footwork is amazing!! Would recommend anyone to check out his highlights that's not seen him yet....unless your like me and dwell on stuff too much.

jaylon will have graduated after this year.

With a couple commits ND could jump into the top 10 in recruiting. 4 months is a long time... And it's not all about team recruiting rankings anyhow. Alot of 3 star athletes have as much potential as alot of 4 star athletes and sometimes 5 stars never live up to their hype. It does happen that players havent had the exposure coming out of high school as others that played on big name private school teams and are very talented. Comes down to developing the players and getting the most out of them....i love getting the sleepers, finding the "diamonds in a goats a$$, the no-name 3 star kids like Jeff Samardzija out of high school that turn out to be dominant. I'd like to see the team recruiting ranking be higher too......but I think what we have so far is a pretty good class minus a couple positions

I really hope they pull in both kids, and maybe ND can get back in on Austin Robertson. I know that ship has sailed, but this team has a dire need of pass rushing. Getting to the QB wins championships. All the great teams have had that dynamic, and its been the most lacking area at Notre Dame. A great pass rush can hide deficiencies in the the defensive backfield and most importantly cause more turnovers. If this team one player on the team close to say a Justin Tuck, Anthony Weaver, or even Stephon Tuitt, Notre Dame would be in the top 5 right now. ND even with all the academic requirements and other expectations, should be able to get a top 10 players each year.

jaylon will have graduated after this year.
That's really really really tough to do as a Junior? Graduate in 3 years that is, 3.5 maybe with all the summer sessions then after the bowl game you can't graduate and not worry about classes while prepping for Combine. If he graduates after this year then he'll be taking a full class load while getting ready for combine.

nothing would make me more happier than to take a player rated one of the top 15 DEs in the country away from Michigan's own back yard. i'm sure Michigan fans will say that they dodged a bullet when it comes to not getting him just like they have so many other times in the past with other recruits

No question a win against your biggest rival changes the excitement and atmosphere of a visit but if he is deciding based on a win Saturday, he prob isn't the right fit. We new the cats that commit after witnessing a loss to Syracuse and fans raining snow balls down on the players.

Jaylon is a special person. He might just buck the trend and return. IMO, he'd be wise to leave but he might just buck the trend.

For me, Jaylon and Stanley are more hype than they are substance. Neither have proven themselves to be sure things at the next level. Both are great athletes but still have work to do to be great football players.

Kareem at one time was a silent commit to Michigan according to my "Ears" on the street,
He burned his bridge to Michigan. Good news for us. We just have to beat USC Saturday night and all will be well.

Bodi -

Kareem + Hayes = Browner and Fry

We can dream here -

Go Irish !!

Beat USC !!!!!

I think it will come down to whether we want a RB that can play slot, kinda like Riddick/Prosise or we want a true slot guy like CJ Sanders. I get the feeling the staff will either take Stovall or Alloway. Both are high on ND. I dont know if there's a preference for 1 over the other or its a 1st come 1st serve situation.

And I saw someone mention Austen Robertson. Dont bother, he's not coming. Our other option is C. Kemp or Betiku (if he ever visits).

Also i read somewhere, not sure, that we are possibly looking for another pure RB as well. Personally I'd rather take Stovall (swing between RB and slot maybe), Stovall, Hayes, Kareem, and hope for guys like McCulloch, D. Robertson & Long.

**VaTech commit CB Tony Pride (3* on most sites) is visiting. Sounds like he's a backup plan for now, but he sounds like he might end up Irish if we'd take him. I think the staff wants to take Hamlin over him, but if they cant get a read on him, sounds like they might start to push more for Pride.

Unfortunately just saw that D. Hayes is taking 5 OV's to ND, MSU, OSU, Oklahoma & LSU. Damn, thought he might pop for us this week. His recruitment is a strange 1.
