He's lost this team. if not before this gm certainly after his post gm press conference. Blame the players who are unpaid rather than the highly paid coaches . Starting with El jefe himself most of them need a pink slip monday. After Texas he blamed the punter for not flipping the field but nary a word of criticism for his D coordinator hire whose D had just let Texas score 50. Absurd!! Besides it's classless to throw his recruited and coached players under the bus to the press . Those things are to be done only in private behind closed doors. True dbag move but it's a long term pattern from Kelly. Things hv reached critical mass re. Kelly at ND . The writing on the wall for this season was when Swarbrick didn't force the BVG issue re. replacing him in the off season. No its a complete house cleaning that is required.

You need to let Declan RIP and quit using his memory to feed your own hate for BK and the way this team is performing. A student's death has nothing to do with missed tackles. Stop using his memory at convenient times in order to slander BK. We all know what is happening on the field. No one is happy. No one is any more enlightened about what we see on the field then the next guy.

As long as ND fans continue selling out games, and shoveling money into the ND coffers, nothing will change. This university brags about how much money they generate from the program compared to schools much larger, it's not in their interest to change. Why change when the money is still rolling in hand over fist.

This school could have and should have had Urban Meyer as its coach. No, ND played on their "history" and thought they could throw out a million and have UM begging for the job. Well, UF more than doubled NDs offer and the rest is history.

I'm tired of the lemmings saying You're not a fan of ND if you are critical of the coach or team. Well, our dollars are what runs the ship, I'm like a shareholder and I don't like the product they're putting out. It's a disgrace, a damn laughing stock.

Thanks for posting the full press conference. Personally I think Kelly said all the right things. If you're 1 and 3 it's top down, all players included and the coaches which he said. Look do I love Kizer yes but numbers aside if you watch the game he didn't play well. Knowing that your defense is struggling you can't force it sometimes he did. If you're a "great player" you step up when your coach calls you out and lead. Coaches don't tackle and neither do they play we missed about 30 to 40 tackles today that's ridiculous. No one played well if you don't win, win and losing is done as a team. He's not the reason we are 1-3 but Kelly is challenging him to be the leader. As for the defense I don't know what it is. I know they are trying but they just have to come together and finish strong.

Yeah, but then the fans freak out because you are "ducking the issues". I have no opinion on whether to keep or replace Kelly. I am just pointing out that on every team I have ever played on, the few times we happened to lose, I never thought the coaches were primarily to blame. Players DO occasionally have shitty games and there is nothing that coaches can do to alter that fact. Fans don't want to hear coaches talk about players, so they aren't left with much to say beyond "we have to coach better" as a response to every reporter's question.
