Have to make a comment, while reviewing game video (Joe Schmidt project) I also noted something I saw.

This is by far the best coaching job Kelly has done in his ND tenure. Regardless of the situation, whether adverse or a big ND play he has displayed a command and a stoic composure. This team pays attention to him and responds to him ( watch him with Sanders after the fumble).

I think the supporting coaches have helped/ allowed him to get to this next level by relieving him of some of the burden.

AND, for the 1st time Kelly looks like he is comfortable with his QB. He seems to be in synch with DK. Even MZ made Kelly fidgety and EG made him frustrated. DK and Kelly seem very much a team. They are both on the same page leading the team. Good things ahead.

I agree that BK responds well to DK at QB. DK seems to be a student of the game and understands BK's scheme very well. DK being able to specifically talk Xs and Os seems to put BK at ease with him in the game.

Perse comes to Jesus!

Watched the last Showtime episode and couldn't be prouder of our boys! Wow! What bright and focused kids. Real Student-Athletes. I remember how stressful the midterm weeks was when I was at ND! All-nighters. Coffee and Mountain Dew. Very proud to be Irish and would love for them to shock the college football world and prove, like Stanford, that college football doesn't have to be a semi-pro league!

It is hard not to see how Notre Dame is far different than most of the CFB powerhouses. I suppose that best explains the obsession and envy w see from so many trolling this board.

Some questions:
How many handles do you have trolling this board oh glorious "truth teller"?
Can you list all of your handles that you have had banned from Rivals?
(I think alphabetizing and starting with "argus" would be helpful)
When will your next dining with Holtz take place?
Will you be "hopnored" this year at half time? (Wake Forest is the only home game left.)

That is all for now....

lol .... the irony. Too funny.

Well said Perse. It seems like he's addressed many of the concerns that folks have had about him the past couple of years:
QB development -- looks good
Special Teams -- making a positive impact
Run the darn ball -- yep! (please keep doing this!)
Don't turn purple when a young man makes a mistake -- much better
Asst. Coaching chemistry -- It seems like all of the new hires are good fits and actually develop players.

If he lands a Top 5 recruiting class we can shut the boards down because no one will have any complaints left!

Like your obsession with FSU. I guess you are a Seminole fan.

Still...the Clemson debacle lingers.

I rewatched the Clemson game and think the offense was sound and just got behind a/c poor defensive start.
2 ill timed t/o's hurt. Thought DK and Kelly maintained the confidence from the team; they pkayed with confidence they could comeback. Sometimes the other team just puts up the good fight.

Clemson is a very good team.

It's a very nice series. I've found myself tearing up (when Josh Anderson got his scholarship/when Malik got hurt) and laughing out loud (at the way Sheldon Day kids Jerry Tillery). Those guys are busting their asses off. I could have never done it.
