I really hope Kelly is a man of his word. One of the stipulations for Long to join the ND staff was he must have full control of the offense. Kelly has now publicly said Long is the play caller. If this is the case, next season looks 100% better. I have stated that Kelly needs to get out of the way and be the highest paid clipboard holder in the country. From what it sounds like, that is what we will see.

"The highest paid clipboard holder" come on Zo. If you've watched ND games as I know you have the majority of ND's problems haven't come from the offense it is what we've been best at during Kelly's tenure.

Long should watch the Movie 'Dune'

Paul Atreides: "They tried and failed, all of them?"
Reverend Mother Gaius Helen Mohiam: "Oh, no." She shook her head. "They tried and died."

What I am saying is this:
1. Kelly has never won a big game at ND. ND gets blown out of every big bowl game.
2. Kelly does not make any in game adjustments that work. ND often starts games really well. Then the opponent makes adjustments and Kelly is clueless on how to counter.
3. Kelly did not have the balls to name a starting QB which showed his lack of leadership. It was obvious that DK was the better QB. Yet, Kelly still started MZ in the second half. Please don't say the defense lost the TX game. Kelly's gameplan lost the TX game.

You don't care for him ok. If that is the case we haven't won a big game since 88, if you don't count our 2012 and undefeated regular season. If you're being realistic and fair every game in a college football season is a big game. You don't make the playoffs or compete for a natty unless your close to or undefeated.

Name one big win for Kelly.

Big games lost by Kelly:

Last season OSU beat down.

At Clemson

At FSU

Bama beat down
This is just a small examples of games that if ND won, the program would be in a totally different place.

I'm not interested in defending Kelly. He has his faults I'm more concerned with how we do this season. The past is the past and every year in college football is a chance to change that perception.

Kelly is not a good coach; he is just a coach with a long term ill advised contract; If a staff is assembled that can basically exclude him from planning and/or decision making (?) then his detriment is somewhat nullified and a chance of success is possible. But, WTH!

Pers, again, you show what a moron you really are. Like the staff is going to "exclude" the HC. Stop trolling, or leave.

Long works for Kelly. Long knows that.

We can only judge Kelly and the program by the past. The only way ND will change is
#1 fire Kelly. Since that will not happen, we have to turn to option #2. Tell Kelly to take his hands of the play calling and just play the role of coach.
