At some point you have to ask if it's all these highly rated sought after recruits or if it's the coaching they receive. Let's be honest, in 8 years the only qb that could correctly read a defense was Rees, who came in as a heady knowledgeable qb. All other qbs were incapable of making reads either in the passing game or zone read runs. All qbs got worse the more coaching they got. Kizer came on like gang busters when he was buried on the depth chart and most likely barely being worked with and by the end of two years of attentive coaching couldn't read a wide open receiver. I don't know exactly what is wrong since I'm not there, but I know now watching Wimbush something isn't right.

More players than not regress under Kelly.

Listen very carefully...

Aside from physically maturing...I'll repeat that...aside from physically maturing...

More players under Kelly than not have a bigger impact as fresh., and sopho, than as juniors and seniors.

Why is that....I'll tell you why.

Do not laugh...think about it.

All the good coaching these players get from age 7 up to their senior year in high school it takes Kelly roughly two years to get all the good positive football they learned out the window.

Don't you dare say look at NFL...
Those players get drafted from their measurables.

Who was the last player BK got drafted because he got that player to over achieve.

See.....over achieving is not within BK realm of possibilities.

Like I said in another thread, outside of Rees, who has stayed their whole eligibility? They all get out! Either regress under him and transfer, declared, etc

I also just for people like you stresses outside of physically maturing, more times than not.... So that means more than 50% of our players actually regress.

Think I'm wrong?

Name me one player... Just one...that Brian Kelly got drafted because he had him over achieve.

Great coaches fund a way to get the most of their players.

The elite teams get many players drafted that have no business getting a draft pick. They get cut later or fizzle out in a couple years. But while at their school they over achieved.

We benefit from absolutely NONE of that.

Our kids succession is based on what their god given physical ability enables them.

Nothing more.
