What happened to this guy. I hear others moving up the depth chart. Haven't heard much about him. There was a lot of anticipation for Brent in the past. Still in the doghouse?

I believe he has been taking reps as a back up running back. We're loaded at receiver and we have freshmen that are going to contribute at this position this year as well. We are thin at RB, and thus the move.

At times, He seems to lack focus regarding the importance of football; but don't fret - if ND football doesn't work out he can go to La La land and I am sure the Kardashians can find an 'opening' for him!

Brent has talent and skill, but he also has a case of reality TV and public eye ADHD. He could be "that guy" that just needs one taste, one TD, one sample of success on a Saturday to realign his focus and turn the corner into a full fledged football star. Personality wise it appears he seems a little off...but that could be a good thing. Let's see what he does on special teams and garbage time this year.

In addition to the things others have said, I think Brent was fighting some minor injuries early in camp which slowed his progress.

Pers, are you still mad at him for dating your favorite "adult" star?

he better start thinkin with the head on his shoulders, or he will find his major is 'disappointment'.

It would have been better if he was moved to RB in the Spring but he is a talented player . IMO the Denson hire will be a tell tale sign of the improvement at the RB position. I never felt Alford was able to bring out the best in all of his players . He was a good guy and well liked so I am not knocking him completely but players did not seem to learn the system equally . Is that on him or the player ? IDK but results were very inconsistent. Denson has a fresh approach from what I read and he seems to motivated and very energized . Expects greatness from his backs . This team needs Folston to take his game to another level . Needs Procise to become a complete back with just a Spring season under his belt . Now add 3 rookies to the equation. That is a tall order for this 1st year coach. Just a hunch but this hire will be the asst. coach of the year at ND. Look for big things.
