and he was asked if all the burnt orange bothered him and he said yeah a bit. But said he probably just needed something to complain about. He then praised the students for getting in the stadium early.
He got asked a few times about J. Adams and he said the kid is a quick study and learned all the protections.
Was thinking about Greg Bryant situation. Lot of these kids like him and Kiel who leave and a game or 2 after they leave, an injury or suspension happens.

i presume the reasons you are referring to were that we sucked, were unranked, had a bum coach, and nebraska had a Heisman candidate and was ranked number 1 or close to it?

the reason as i said in another thread is that this is Texas' fans chance to see ND. They arent on the schedule every year so many came probably to take in a game at ND cause it wont happen for at least another 10+ yrs likely.

I agree in a way. I've been told by many college football fans that they just want to see a game in ND stadium. It's like visiting the Eiffel tower or the island of Santorini, a bucket list kind of thing for many college football fans. As such, I don't get bothered by the large fan bases that invade our stadium.

Especially when they leave with a 38-3 loss to remember!

Well…I was out at tailgate and my friend had 4 tickets that he sold to Texas fans for 2K. Thats a lot of dough to pass up sometimes. Texas Alum have money and wanted to see a game at ND stadium. Somewhat of a Bucket list and we don't play them often. I'm planning on going to Austin and will probably over pay to get in…This happens sometimes….Plus Burnt Orange sticks out and all Texas fans wore Burnt Orange. This is one of my Pep Peeves with ND. When we go on the road as fans we wear Navy, Green, Gold, Gray, White…….Way to many colors. If only we all could wear GREEN since its the only color that sticks out….It would take major coordination on our part…Just my 2 cents..

ND cannot control the sale of all of its tickets but I will say this, I don't want any of these ND ticket sellers bitching and moaning about the stadium atmosphere when they themselves help contribute to that atmosphere by the sale of their tickets to opposing fans. The Nebraska game was embarrassing enough and last night was no better. There had to be about 20k Longhorn fans. Forty seven buses alone coming in from Chicago. Those Irish fans lost all right to complain about the stadium environment forever. If these clowns sold out yesterday, they would do it again with USC or G Tech or any other future marquee games at the stadium.

KJ23, agree with you completely on the color of Notre Dame shirts. Most schools seem to have 2 colors yet Notre Dame has 5 or 6. Hard to fill a stadium with with one color when they have more then just school colors

All it would take is ND to start asking its fans to wear green. Green sticks out. Blue doesn't. Pound it into our heads and it can happen with a year. It will take time and a concerted effort.
