I mentioned during the weekend that Notre Dame was starting the process with a sleeper guard. He's not a sleeper anymore.

Junior combo guard Kevin Huerter of Clifton Park (N.Y.) Shenendehowa High (by the city of Albany) has earned offers from Iowa, Penn State, Marquette, Maryland, Texas Tech, Miami, Rice, Xavier and Creighton, since Friday after playing well at the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League in Hampton, Va. Michigan, Notre Dame, and Syracuse, are beginning the recruiting process and showing interest.

The 6-foot-5, 170-pound Huerter previously had offers from George Washington, Duquesne, Albany, Siena, and Davidson, and a host of Ivy League schools were in the mix.

We'll have a story on his big rise this week.
