..and underage. Will be interesting to see how little time he misses. 2 weeks would be my guess. Bye week and Minnesota. Back for the big games.
Well that's not true at all. He got popped at checkpoint by Columbus PD on his way back to campus. ND doesn't suspend players for the whole year because of alcohol. If you don't think 1-2 years is enough do you think it should be the whole year?Kids make dumb mistakes, that's what kids do. ND has had their own. The difference is that at ND, the kid is gone for the year, no ands, ifs, or buts and they usually learn a hard lesson. At schools like Ohio State this kid will be out one, maybe two weeks, and no pudding at the training table. Actually, I'm surprised that this kid even got arrested. It must have not been in Cbus and the police didn't know who he was. The cops there are notorious for covering up for the players.
Disagree... being a liar is worse then making a lapse in judentDidn't golson get booted out of school for cheating on a test? A dui is far worse. Can't remember if nd had had one of those. Let alone an underage one.
can you say Michael Floyd ?Didn't golson get booted out of school for cheating on a test? A dui is far worse. Can't remember if nd had had one of those. Let alone an underage one.

Rumors are around that cardale Jones fed/ bought JT drinks and "set him up". JT was driving and saw a Columbus PD checkpoint, turned around to avoid it and was caught. Carale then came to get JT released into his custody. If true, Coach Meyer has a decision to make, sit Cardale tooo, and start Braxton Miller for the Minnesota game? The bigger news IMO is that he was driving a free dealer car. On a "unlimited test drive". If this is something that is unavailable to your average 20 year old, the NCAA should view this as a disallowed benefit.

Lizzie Seeberg.
Is that Explorer with dealer plates "rumor/story" getting traction? The bigger news IMO is that he was driving a free dealer car. On a "unlimited test drive". If this is something that is unavailable to your average 20 year old, the NCAA should view this as a disallowed benefit.
Huh? Read below...plus, Rees missed going to Dublin for kicking a cop while sauced..... calabrese missed the same and he just threatened the cops with physical harm from his people....
"The school's disciplinary arm chose not to suspend Floyd -- even though it was his third alcohol-related brush with the law in two years. Kelly had suspended him a short time after his arrest. He missed spring practice, but Kelly allowed him to participate in voluntary workouts with the Irish this summer."

Seriously? What happened to Will Yeatman when he decided to joy ride on campus while hammered?I'll say this. The Floyd situation was different because sadly Floyd admitted to being an alcoholic. Nd did the right thing. Got him counseling. AA. Etc. hasn't had a drink since.
It was a good example of case by case basis. Looking at facts and being fair.
But nd has a long history of kicking kids out for first time infractions. Golson and others last year for cheating, the basketball gaurd a few years back for weed, yeatman for open container, and rice missed a semester for having a girl in his dorm past midnight. And I could go on and on with ex.

Since you asked ..... was busted driving a golf cart on campus not during the football season. Not a car. He was put on probation by school. Not allowed in spring ball or any football activity and suspended from the lacrosse team for the year. The next year he was busted at an off campus party. The kid blew a .02. He was kicked off the team for the entire season. 10 games left.
Seems legit punishment. You disagree?

Like I said, Kids make mistakes even here at ND. The difference is if a player here gets a DUI, he's gone for the season. At OSU, one game! Also Floyd had to do community service and had a curfew. Not imposed by the courts, but ND. He served in my mothers nursing home that entire summer and had to be in by 9 p.m. That's called learning a lesson. Not so much under Urban. For those getting on him too much.
Let's not forget Floyd.
These incidents did not happen during the football seasons either. Floyd had an issue, but citing consumption as a minor while in college to support your argument? Really?Huh?
