SAL, You do not understand Notre Dame football history when it comes to 5th years. Contributers always get a 5th year at Notre Dame. ND is not a football factory. Amir was a decent contributer to the team last year and is a great locker room guy. There are always spots open for players like him. Don't you remember John Goodman and Tyler Stockton getting 5th years? Amir is far more talented then them.

Besides, we are always under 85 scholarship players in the fall.

^ and there a few guys on the staff that do what AC does; as well as a couple of new guys expectted in.
If the numbers got tight then all that plays into things.

The years they took Goodman and Stockton ND didn't have # issues. No one is saying AC wasn't a contributor or that he didn't deserve a 5th year. All I was saying is if you were to take 5-6 scholarships away from where we are right now AC is in a tough spot.
