Jordan Pouncey de-commits?

The great thing about ND recruiting - the same people who smashed Coach Kelly for getting a verbal from a low three star with middling offers, can now come here and take a shot at Kelly for losing a "key cog in the recruiting class who was a pivotal WR"
Do you really think this only applies to ND?

Not sure, I only go on ND boards, but hope for other teams sake that their fans are a little more positive and reasonable than the ones here.

well, that is kinda shooting from the hip? who?
and regardless of the # of stars, if he is one of the key recruits (among a group of similarly rated prospects and is then lost, it is a 'loss'! The # of stars is not the relevant consideration.
He was a kid with some size and potentially a kid that might have been moved to D. He seemed less highly rated because his position was not obvious.

I use to get all worked over this stuff. Really, who cares? It's no big loss. Nothing is set in stone until signing day and even then it doesn't really matter. ND would be better of getting 2 star recruits who would kill to play for the Irish. Most of the better players quite frankly think they are better than they really are. As far as I'm concerned, whoever signs on February 1st, that's all that matters. Come hell or high water ND will have a team come out of the tunnel next September. As Gene Hackman said in "Hoosiers" " my team is out on the floor". Go Irish!!!

This coming from the " pocket protector" nerd who keeps numeric ratings of our recruits and bitches because we can't compete with Bama and Ohio State.

I love people like you. Everything is always perfect in your Obama world. 4-8. I'm positive that stinks record wise. Be a man.

and your team is no longer nationally relevant; a change that you seem happy with!
I suggest if that is your standard, 'fielding a team'; then scholarships are not longer necessary.

My philosophy is if we cant get top notch guys then hold the scholarships for next year. If kelly turns things around then we can get more quality guys in 2018. Receiver position is in good shape presently.

CJ Sanders was the 12 th man for Miami. I was at the game and did not smell the stench of Row the boat.

Yep, the apologists are right. No problems here. There will be plenty of scholarships to hand out to the practice squad. What you are seeing is the decay of a once great college football program. This is not going to change. The damage has been done. (Listening Swarbrick?) Regardless of all the apologists' love songs. Put a fork in it. It's not "if" any more, just "when". Enjoy the mess.

We are probably getting Oliver Martin who is higher rated.
Not if Denbrock leaves we aren't.

People can say it's no big loss but outside of Martin and Simmons ND isn't near the top for anybody else so if players start bailing we don't really have too many guys on the board to replace them.

A 4 and 8 team out gained them 411 to 306. Outrushed them 148 to 18. Had a 20 to 0 lead. Miami should have been embarassed with that performance.
Yet Miami had a 27-20 lead in the fourth quarter. Stats are for losers. ND should have been embarrassed with almost losing. Thankfully, Smythe's fumble didn't cost ND. A win for ND, yes. Certainly not an ass kicking when it's a 3-point game.

If everything is as grim as you say, I guess there's no reason for you to continue following the team and posting here, is there? Obviously, given the hopeless situation, you should find something else to occupy your time. Yet, something tells me otherwise.

No answer to my question??

Notice how pennick, classic, and a few others spew garbage but are allowed to stay on here? You can always see the lack of class in someone when you make a comment about a team or situation then people like them hurl insults at you. I always wonder why people like that don't live in Cuba?

Serious question: how many times have you been banned from this board?

Another question: how many times have you been banned from other boards?

kelly was the worst performer for ND every football weekend.
He stinks.
CJ Sanders is a dynamite player who, like the rest of the team, is victimized by by a bullying idiotic vulgar HC.
Right now this program is underwater and on probation...pathetic...
kelly has authored the worst on and off field stretch in ND football history.

Tell you what, cry baby, I'll do you a favor and put you on ignore. That way I won't need to read your whining---at least not until you get banned again and return with another handle.

Stats are for losers, which team won the game again? ND had a horrible season, Miami should be embarassed for losing this game by any margin.
