Actually the Civil Suit has been her angle the whole time. It started out as a situation where her boyfriend found out that she was messing around with someone else so that is why she originally said rape. She told her friend that but didn't want her friend to call the police. That's in the report. Her friend did anyway. After a couple of months of the original investigation she quit cooperating with the police investigation. But that was when Winston was still a 4th string QB.
She brought all this back to light when Winston became a Heisman Trophy candidate because it became obvious that he was going to be a rich man some day and she saw the opportunity to turn her accusation into $$$$$$. That is what this has been about the whole time and the Civil Suits bear that out.
Both Winston and FSU are not going to settle and this matter is going to Trial and will be decided by a judge.

Winston's counter suit should be more interesting IMHO. Not sure what can be presented in the Civil that hasn't already been made public in four investigations and over a thousand pages of investigation which included eye witnesses, forensic evidence, tox reports, negative rape kit results, her conflicting stories (lies), and her friends testimony.

The Countersuit is not a joke. Winston is going to build his case to prove she is lying about the rape accusation. Countersuits are available to defendants for situations just like this. If someone tries to falsely accuse you of something and sues you, then you have the option of filing a Countersuit when you file your Answer to their lawsuit.
The bottom line is this is all going to be decided by a judge so sit back and relax.

The counter suit is a complete joke and a ploy used by guilty people in order for the victim to incur costs and drop the suit. In this case the girl obviously wants vindication and will soon get it because FSU was wrong in the cover up and Winston knows he raped her and will never be allowed to take the stand because his only option would be to lie under oath.

I don't like FSU but for other reasons. It used to piss me off when they got drooled over by every college fan and media when back then they had a two game schedule. It really annoyed me. They played Miami and Florida. The rest of the ACC at that time was about on par with the MAC. Only the last 6-7 years has seen the ACC make some real strides in the competitive department.
Playing the Citadel's of the world did nothing for me whatsoever.
