Jason Onye

Personal reasons. Hope everything is okay

Rubio was back today and that was great to see

We still haven't played a game this year with all 5 of our DTs active for the game

Cross Mills Onye Rubio Hinish

When all 5 are healthy and good to go mentally the defense will be even scarier than it is now

GT is a really good running team so hopefully it happens next week

Tech has the oline to bulldoze our ends, that concerns me

Don't know if it's mental, academic or physical but Rubio,Murkham Sevillano and Hinish need to step up now! I want to see the Rubio that I believed was gonna be great starting now.

I'm hearing that Onye is out this week.

Theres a good chance he's back for Navy.
Are you just hearing out, or for any specific reason. I'd really like to see him slide over to SDE. He's bigger and more athletic than oben, it would allow burnham to be full time vyper. Hinish, rubio, mills, cross manning the inside.

I'm guessing they don't move him because they will absolutely need him in the middle next year.

ND needs mukham and or houstan to really develop in the off season.

Also, curious what the staff is doing with Ristoff, mullins, vernon. They all seem like better SDEs to me but it seems they're trying all 3 of them inside. Vernon did not play well in HS with added weight, maybe mullins or ristoff can. I wish vernon would stay thin(ish) and play SDE.

Rubio played his first game of the season last week. And played pretty well

I'm just hearing "out". I don't have any idea what the reason is.

I like your idea of Onye playing some SDE. Agree- he's athletic enough to do it.

It would be great if Mullins, Houston, Mukam, or Vernon have great off-seasons and really emerge.

Of the 4, who do you think could get significant snaps next season?

I like Onye, Rubio, and Hinish.....that that group needs "more" if we're going to have to replace Cross and Mills.

For me, I would guess Mukam and Mullins.

I think Vernon should move to the Big End spot. I think they are wasting him

I have no clue why they are trying vernon at DE with a clear need at SDE. He just doesn't seem like that type of player with that type of grit/toughness.

Mullins, i'm curious if he has the body type to add 20-30lbs of good weight and keep his athleticism. He has the most ability in my opinion.

Mukam and Houstan just seemed soft as interior players IMO. They have much better size than Hinish. I just don't think they have "it" but we'll see next year. I really think hinish needs less reps. He plays yard and hustles, but for every good effort/hustle play he makes there's 5 others where he just gets obliterated.
