Defense was definitely the main reason. But Golson and the offense were also very important for us getting to the NC
He came off the bench in at least 3 games to lead us to victory; Stanford being one of them. Without Rees that year, we aren't in the BCS
You said he was the qb most responsible. No he wasnt. He helped us get there but by far the 2nd most valuable qb that year
