This is very commonplace now. It's a new age, especially with NIL. Coaches are now saying they are "supportive" of recruits talking to other schools. Pretty much have to say that to stay in engagement with a recruit.

not sure why guys that are “ chillin” ” still open to listening “ and not completely “ shut down” are even considered commits. Freeman should tell him while you’re “ chillin” we’re still lookin. And if the Moore situation(s) is not lesson learned this staff is far less savvy then I originally gave them credit for.

At this late in the game, I have to believe that the staff is very much in tune to what these guys are thinking. Not that they can do much about it at this point, but I am sure there is dialogue.
