It is like Brian Kelly never left

I totally disagree. CBK likely would have emphatically lost.

Freeman I’m contrast lost a game ND should have won. The Irish we’re the better team but for the scoreboard on cruel margins,

That’s sports. But things look promising. I take nothing for granted, but have confidence ND can run the table going forward.

I think even purple face would have won last night
Can you imagine if Tommy Rees took Audric Estime out of the game on first down on the last set of downs, and lost 6 yards on the play? Or if Tommy only scored 14 points last night with Sam Hartman at QB.

Golson would have started 4 threads by now.

I don't think a Kelly coached team would have gotten blown out, just as his teams didn't get blown out against Georgia in either of those games. I think it would have been a hard fought game with a coin flip for the outcome, much like last night, but if we lost I highly doubt it would have been because we didn't have 11 players on the field.

Some of the piling on about Kelly just gets a little insane after awhile.

All about the narrative.

It was like Tommy was still here huh

I kind of agree, but he was what he was: A very-good to great coach who couldn't get over the hump...he had the chances, he had the support, and grant you, he probably wouldn't have had 10 men on the field...but I think it's unlikely he would have brought Hartman in as a transfer...

Kelly's legacy is a program record for wins, and a track record for big-game losses...he doesn't win last night, or come as close

I think so. Kelly scored 19 and 17 against UGA, 14 & 24 in his last two games against Michigan. That 24 in 2018 Wimbush went 12-22 170 yards, 1 TD + 1 INT. So while Kelly did have some strong offensive outings I can imagine an offensive effort just as bad.

Don’t leave out his record for most losses as well.
